My self-summary Propose an edit

I'm a pretty laid back kind of guy. A bit of a hippie, with quite a lot of geek thrown in. I do computer support for a living, but I'm looking for a new job. More of the same without a commute would be good, but what I'd really like to do is turn my photography hobby into a career. I'm a very outdoorsy person, and I tend to spend as much time as I can outside when I'm not at work.

Other than photography, my big hobby is rock climbing. I can generally be found at the climbing gym 3 nights a week.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

Books: I read a lot of Sci-Fi and Fantasy. I'm a big fan of Robert Heinlein, Spider Robinson, Neil Stephenson and R. A. Salvatore. I've recently become hooked on Charles de Lint.

Movies: I like movies that make you think. Not that I'll turn down a good action flick or other huge summer blockbuster type movie off hand, but I do generally prefer the more "mess with your head" type stuff. Some of my favorites off the top of my head: Boondock Saints, Pi, Memento, Office Space, Secretary, Ninth Gate (Ok, make that almost anything with Johnny Depp in it...), Fifth Element. Also, anything by Kevin Smith or Quentin Tarantino...oh, and Luc Besson.

Music: Music is something I'm very passionate about. I love a lot of different stuff, from mainstream to obscure. Some of my favorites are: Of A Revolution, The Beatles, Tool, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Psychotica, Pearl Jam, Fugees, Spearhead, The Kimberly Trip, Lords of Acid, Underworld, Sage Francis, Foxtrot Zulu, Dropkick Murphys... I could probably keep going for quite a while.

That varies so much lately. I used to be quite a lazy, sit at home and watch a movie type person. That's changed in the last 6 months or so. I'd rather be out doing something fun with friends. Doesn't much matter what it is, as long as we're all having fun.
