I am intellectual, onewho admires irony, and a scoundrel.

My Self-Summary

I am not new to this city. My mother gave birth to me in an immaculate conception. The father? Manhattan.

I spend most of time reading, thinking, and talking about literature and poetry. I am also interested in the visual arts and philosophy.

If you appreciate irony, I will make you laugh.

Many of my answers on here are terse because I just cannot justify spending a lot of time or effort on this site. I also don't like being a salesman for anything, so if you want to know something, just message me.

What I’m doing with my life

Mostly entertainment law. For now mostly films but I am looking to expand.

I’m really good at

Reading music. I play guitar, piano, and saxophone.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm always daydreaming.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I read a lot of Russian literature including Turgenev, Gorky, Gogel, Tolstoy, and Nabokov. I also like a lot of 19th century German writers like Heinrich Heine, Nietzsche, Goethe, Trakl, Hess and Rilke. Occasionally I read authors who are still living but only because I have a vague sense that I should be reading writers who are still living. Cormac MacCarthy is one of those writers.

Oh, and Proust.

My favorite movies are by Todd Solondz.

As for music -- I usually listen to the lady who lives above me who plays some sort of country music with her guitar. Her music is pleasant enough, but it calls for the occasional foot-stomp. Now every time the guitar stops I cringe in anticipation of the two or sometimes three stomps that follow.

The six things I could never do without

(1) My thoughts (2) something to read (3) some kind of list of things I could never do without (4) periodicals (5) modern society (6) words

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Lately -- law.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out, unless I am tired.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I never allow myself to be influenced in the smallest degree either by atmospheric disturbances or by the arbitrary divisions of what is known as time. I would willingly reintroduce the use of the quill pen, but I know nothing about those infinitely more pernicious and moreover flatly bourgeois implements: the umbrella and the watch.

You should message me if

You would like to talk about something.
