Oh summertime, and flip flops, how I love the way you flip sand up my shorts and in the pockets, as I stroll the beach.
Or when I'm pulling into a busy beach lot and go to press the brake only to feel my flip flop wedged under the gas pedal. Oh flip flop, why is it that women think you are so cute on my feet. When the man side wants to throw your life threatening dorky-ness across the lake. Oh flip flop at least you're cheap. ;) This is all in fun, I'm all about keeping it light and silly possibly for the rest of our lives.I'm one of those guys who offers passion, fun and emotional availability. But believe it or not I'm also confident, a gentleman, successful and know what I like. I take calculated risks, prefer Scotch to Vodka, my wine red, coffee black and sometimes make a sand castles on the beach.
To be honest I'm not a fan off this process, I'm also hard to paint in black and white. So say I'm an old soul, wise and honest to a fault, sensitive, caring, open, empathetic. I'm also an intellectual who still likes the Simpsons, or a surfer boy meets artsy writer type... my edges are rough but inside I'm soft like caramel...down to earth....
I have a creative career and I'm very driven but reccently I'm more focused on a work life balance.
(MORE SERIOUS TONE)
I'm an active Dad to a young teen boy, he's a huge part of my life, although he lives out of town I see him regularly. I'm at a stage in my life where I know who I am and what I'd like. I have a huge untapped heart, I've done my personal work and feel I needed a mature relationship based on respect, admiration and trust. I've learned that I'm a hopeless romantic and that I also need to express it. I've been told I have a gift to give.
I like character, you have opinions, confidence and informed. Sense of humour and compassion. Have an edge, cynical, silly, ironic, good story teller, listener... a bit of each is the best! Like to get out and be active, rather than just the gym. Random spontaneity. Good to chill with book, movie or a home cooked meal I made.
I'm an active Dad to a beautiful boy, which I have less than part time do to logistics, so I will have time to meet and get to know you.
My quick observation of online dating ie : "curiosity, illusion, anticipation and delusion, leads to confusion." I think the real biological way of meeting would be, to live in the same village and get to know someone slowly, why do we have to be forced into making reflexive decisions... I also agree that just meeting and dating is a key to this phase of life. So I'm here open minded and ready.
Best of luck to all .....

Thus I have a dog...if you know dogs you'll like that one...
