I am silly, loving, and hopeful.

My Self-Summary

I'm just looking to meet cool people who want to teach me about their views on the world and show me how they view Seattle. (I'm from the Seattle area, but love it when people show me new places.) If you are willing to do that, awesome; we can be friends! But, I'll like you a whole lot more if you believe that you could learn something from me too. :)
We all have such varied experiences, so unless you're a pompous jerk, you should be able to acknowledge that you can't possibly know everything! I'm positive that we'll have something to learn from each other, no matter what.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm working full time and taking classes here and there to prepare for grad school. Hopefully, one day I'll be working in health care as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife.

I’m really good at

Ironically, I think I'm pretty good at making others feel comfortable, but I'm also pretty good at feeling awkward myself.

The first things people usually notice about me

I dunno, you'd have to ask them. I hope they notice that I'm openhearted and a hard worker.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Let me just say... I've never really been the type of person to have favorites. At least, not until recently, have I ever really had a "best" friend, a certain meal I'd ask for on my last day on Earth, or any particular actor/musician I would get sooo excited to meet. So, I'll just list a few things that I really like so you can get an idea :)

Movies: 50 First Dates, When Harry Met Sally, Boondock Saints, The Usual Suspects, and Legends of the Fall (I guess these are all romances-except for boondock saints and usual suspects.. but I definitely like abstract/weird movies too. I just can't think of any cool ones right now)

Books: My favorite books are either 1) educational, like my anatomy text book (I know, nerd moment..) or Our Bodies Ourselves, or 2) they really make me think and explore topics from different angles like The Shack and The Celestine Prophecy

Music: It just depends on when you catch me :) I love listening to new artists and being exposed to different kinds of music. I really like soul music, blue grass, and vocal jazz. "Favorite" artists right now include: Stevie Wonder, Eva Cassidy, The Allman Brothers Band, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and random girly folk/pop singers such as MoZella, Ingrid Michaelson, Tina Dico, Regina Spektor, and Sarah Bareilles

Foods: Thai and pizza are my favorite foods! Yum. You can put basically anything on pizza, just think about it!... breakfast pizza (spinach, sausage, cheese)..or just have regular pizza for breakfast... or pizza for any meal of the day.... haha

The six things I could never do without

The support of friends and family, sleep, and music.

...oh, i'm supposed to write six. Well, how about, volleyball, pizza, and health care.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The future, how lucky I am, and how I can help others but still get out and enjoy my own life.

On a typical Friday night I am

Eating, watching tv, showering, and then heading out to meet up with friends!
