I am considerate, quiet, and six kinds of awesome.
My Self-Summary
Well, hello there! Name's Erik and I've never been too good at
self-summarizing, but here goes. I'm a twenty-one-year-old guy with
an addiction to gaming and sci-fi/fantasy. I'm a
quiet-listener-type person and I'm a bit too reserved, I guess (but
I'm working on that). Most of my time is spent juggling my job and
my schooling. I live with my grandmother (I'm sure that wins me
some serious cool points, eh?) although you can hardly tell, since
I'm practically never home. No pets, unfortunately. Maybe later.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently I'm slaving away at my local Noodles & Company to pay
my bills, as I take a shot at a music program at my community
college. Not very glamorous, I know, but it works. Hoping to find a
crew to hang out with, maybe play some D&D or engage in some
equally nerdy activity.
I’m really good at
Apparently I'm a good D&D player. I'm sure that will take me
far in life.
I'm a decent baritone singer, or so I hear. I'm also fairly good at
keeping a nice philosophical conversation going. As if that wasn't
enough, I make smoothies.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm quite thin, and not for want of food. People tell me that I
have nice eyes, as well. People usually notice me engaging in some
silly and/or nerdy activity at any time of day, occasionally even
while working.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: The Darksword Trilogy, The Hitchhiker's Guide series, The
Screwtape Letters, The Forever War, the Harry Potter books
(particularly the last couple), Messy Spirituality, If Grace Is
True, Dangerous Wonder, and the AD&D 2nd Edition Player's
Handbook (a strange pick, to be sure), to list a few.
Movies: Lots. Any Monty Python film, the two Harry Potter films
I've seen, Iron Man, The Dark Knight, Return of the Jedi, Somewhere
in Time, Advent Children, The Incredibles, and many more.
Music: Practically anything's good. Anything by Hans Zimmer or John
Williams, Rammstein, Metallica, Garbage, Elton John, Meat Loaf,
Disturbed, Queen, almost anything from the 80's, Maurice Durufle's
Requiem, and the ten million other things I'll remember in a few
minutes.
The six things I could never do without
My family and friends, music, time to think, the internet,
biological necessities, and the occasional cupcake.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working, unfortunately.
You should message me if
If you got this far, you should consider saying hello.
