My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a 27 year old research scientist. I moved back to Manchester after a few years away a while ago and loving every minute of it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've got a masters degree in Chemistry and currently I'm a research chemist working with Nanoparticles by the uni.

Outside of work I love going out to socialize with my friends, but I can still be fairly partial to a night in with the housemates. I'm a big fan of the cinema but I'd really like to get back into seeing some live music more regularly, so if you know any good gigs let me know.

I'm a regular at the gym and I also do some running and climbing to keep myself in shape. Just completed my second half marathon and apparently they don't get any easier.

As you can guess by my profile pic I love skiing oh so very much I came late to it so I've got some catching up to do and try to go once a year.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Chemistry I hope (otherwise don't tell my employer)
Spouting random facts I learnt in the middle of a conversation and therefore going completely off topic. It does come in useful for pub quizzes though.
Plus covering my eyes in photos, with either glasses or just by shutting them. Never really been a problem before but it made setting up this profile more challenging than it should be.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My laugh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
To kill a Mockingbird's my favorite book, recently saw a really good stage production of it but I'll pretty much read anything. So in no particular order: Dune, Jonathon Strange and Mr Norrell, American Gods, Freakanomics, How I escaped my certain fate, The Count of Monte Cristo, Catch 22, The man in the High Castle, Pompeii, The years of Lyndon Johnson, I am Legend, The Lord of Light, Altered Carbon, Maus, Fatherland and Rainbow Six. Strangely not Game of Thrones because I've not got round to reading it yet.

Films: Blues Brothers, Point Break, Seven Samurai, Four Lions, Collaterall, Kung fu panda, Dodgeball, Ted, Young Frankenstein, Anchorman, Gladiator, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Last of the Mohicans, Inception, One flew over the Cuckoo's nest, Star wars, Road Trip, Mesrine, Leon, True Grit, Three Kings, The Fighter, Frost/Nixon and anything by Pixar because who doesn't like their stuff?

Tv: The West Wing, The Wire, Game of thrones, The Killing, Braquo, Family Guy, Community, It's always sunny in Philadelphia, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, Brass eye, The day today, Spaced

Music: I know its a cliche but I have pretty broad musical taste from Mowtown to hip hop so I just going to list some favourites. Marvin Gaye, Public Enemy, Jimmy Eat World, James Yorkston, Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes, Laura Marlin, Noah and the Whale, Grand Master Flash, 2manyDJs, The Knife, The Postal Service, Green Day, Ben Folds Five, Belle and Sebastian, Rage against the Machine, Etta James, Less than Jake, Blackstone cherry, Pearl Jam, Radical Face, Hercules and the Love affair, Daft Punk, Bob Dylan, NWA, Totally Enormous extinct dinosaurs, Japanese Popstars, Portishead, Bruce Springsteen, Journey and Rush.

Best gig I've seen in years was Melt yourself down at the deaf institute. The worst sadly was Bob Dylan, nearly ruined his music for me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Trainers, Friends, Family, the internet, a pen and a good book to read.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends chatting, eating out or dancing somewhere usually with a beer or two.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I deliberately tell bad jokes to break the ice sometimes also I thought Heath Ledger's Joker was overrated.

You're interesting, interested and can hold a conversation longer than 'Hi how are you?'
You can't go far wrong with a good sense of humour though.
