My Self-Summary

I am Simon; An academic four years into ten of collage. in my 20s studying here in Hawaii. As an academic my chosen field is also my biggest interest. Others include cooking, baguazhang, books of the Victorian vintage, theology, and philosophy. I am looking for friends and lovers here, the people I look for as friends tend to be the same things I look for as lovers. I take friendship more seriously than most.

I am the sort of person who like to listen more than talk, but as I am attempting build a social life while still working on a degree in sociology and working I have become more out going. I like going out as much as staying in, and always like to include my friends.

What I’m doing with my life

I am an academic, it is a good part of my life. I am attempting 18 credits and looking for a job on top of it. When I am being completely honest I know I am just trying to make it past grad school- Sociology pays pitifully little without a Phd. Once school is over I can do many of the things I am looking forward to. Among the things I most want to do are, travailing to Laos to see the Buddhist temples, and reopen my rare book shop.

I’m really good at

I have become good at a number of things, mostly cooking, Baguazhung, there are a few other things but you can ask if your curiousness.

The first things people usually notice about me

I have been told my beard is most striking, then people notice my three piece suit.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Victorian books, and classical guitar and violin music are my favorites, but I also have a taste for metal (goth industrial is my current interest) and sifi (I am reading Heinlein and Card right now).

The six things I could never do without

The pleasures of life:

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Kinky things, sociology, food, and my over baring theory construction professor. Oddly enough I find myself being introspective
