My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a nice guy with a side of sarcasm and a dash of geek. It's a fine balance but somehow I pull it off. I like outdoor excursions such as camping, kayaking, and downhill longboarding. Born and raised on an island, I feel most comfortable near the ocean where the horizon can drown out the noise behind me. I've learned from a few hard knocks and have come to appreciate smooth sailing and calm winds.
I have a love for most of the arts but film is by far my favorite. The ability to utilize multiple art forms and artists to eloquently tell a compelling story is fascinating to me. There are many genres that I enjoy but I tend to steer away from blockbusters and Michael Bay-esque action movies. I am currently making my way through the Criterion Collection.
I would like to find a level headed woman to share interests and go on adventures with. Over the past few years I have taken a hiatus from relationships to focus on self improvement and have made tremendous progress. Unfortunately this time away from the dating scene has made me a little rusty with meeting new people, hence this venture into the online world. I'm not looking to dive into anything right away but I'm open to developing a foundation to build on.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I build circular wooden stairs as a partner in the family business. I've tried several different career paths in the past but I am most comfortable being outside, working with my hands, and creating something new every day. I also enjoy finally using the years of algebra I aced throughout school. I have learned that x=$.
Aside from that, enjoying the ups, learning from the downs, and making the most of everything in between.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Most everything that I put my mind to. I'm a bit of a jack of all trades with a penchant for solving problems and fixing things. Thanks Macgyver!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Most new people I meet comment on how quiet I am, but that's just because they're new. Like most people, I open up a lot as I get to know someone. It really helps if we share a similar sense of humor.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family.
My friends.
My kayak.
My computer.
Sunshine.
The ocean.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My goals in life and the best ways to accomplish them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends or watching a movie at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I quit drinking over 4 years ago. That doesn't mean that I am scared of bars, parties, and good times, I still love them all. It just means I can remember and drive away from them now.
