My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just putting this up here so no one is surprised. I'm currently going with the bearded look, so my profile picture is not, at the moment, up to date.

I'm one big melting pot. I love music, art, movies, theatre, sports, board games, video games, travel, studying other cultures/religions, food, beer, wine, books, and watching the History Channel. I've spent approximately nineteen years of my life living in central Illinois, surrounded by corn fields, and the rest of it in Chicago. I also have an affinity for almost anything ancient. Ancient Egyptian and Greek mythology fascinate me. When I was little, I wanted to be an archaeologist or paleontologist, primarily because it seemed I was always watching either an Indiana Jones movie, or The Land Before Time. (the original. not the sequels) If you know a little about any of these subjects, I think we'll be able to get along splendidly. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently a student working to finish up a degree in vocal performance /opera. I'm hoping that I will be able to make my career by either singing in a professional choir or working in voice-over recording and on movie soundtracks
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Impressions. Because I watch so many movies, I start memorizing quotes, sometimes without intending to, and if I watch the movies often enough, then I start to play around with the voices. nerdy, yes, but I have a lot of fun with it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I haven't asked too many people about this, but the last person I asked told me that when she saw me across the room, she said to her friend, "wow, he'd make a good chewtoy."

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My loved ones
2. A good book...or twenty
3. Nature
4. A computer with internet access
5. Good food
6. Music
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what I'm doing with my life. School, performing, and work take up so much of my time...sometimes it's just overwhelming
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either hanging with a friend, home watching a movie, or out at a bar. Sometimes all three.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Occasionally, I will sit at home, by myself, and for no apparent reason, I will start singing random songs from Sondheim musicals.

I'm willing to admit pretty much anything within reason. ask me a question. You'll probably get an answer.

Also, I am on fetlife. Ask if you want to know my screen name.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
like me, you have at some point had a day-long marathon of the extended editions of the Lord of the Rings movies, stopping in between each disc to eat a meal of food from the movies, by the hobbit meal schedule. (Breakfast, Second Breakfast, Elevensies, Luncheon, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, and Supper)......or if you're not that much of a nerd, you like anything else that I said up above. :)

Also, this may sound strange, but there are three book series mentioned above (Kushiel's Legacy by Jacqueline Carey, the Black Jewels series by Anne Bishop, and A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin) that have influenced a few of the things that I feel about human interaction and acceptance. If there is anyone that would like to discuss these topics as they pertain to the books, the topics in general, or just the books in general, I genuinely look forward to hearing from you. :)
