My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Leaving for Virgin Islands on Monday 5/12 for 9 days of sailing, exploring, snorkeling, hiking, eating and fun. 4 nights, 3 days to go. Can't wait!!!!!

Does anyone really look at the questions answered by prospective "others" or do you just let the okc algorithms do their thing? I haven't reviewed a prospect's questions in I don't know how long, you?
All of the photographs are recent.

I'm putting myself up for adoption.
1. I "shake" hands.
2. I "roll over", although I'll typically insist you do same.
3. I don't beg, but am always grateful.
4. I've NEVER bitten a hand that fed me.
5. I like my stomach rubbed and yes my leg goes crazy on those occasions.
6. I like to be tickled behind my ears.
7. Like Lindsey's new dog, I have a bad knee. However, had it repaired and rehab completed.
8. I am housebroken.
9. I do not stray!!!!
10. I'm loyal and true, definitely a woman's best friend.
11. I like going for walks, dancing, swimming, sailing, gym, museums and more.
12. I occasionally will chase a stick.
13. I like to play catch.
14. I play well with all species. (human and animal)

Saw Iron Man 3 with my daughter last week. She was visiting from DC, where she has lived for 12 years during and after college. She came home ostensibly to drive to/from surgery and be here for a few days if I needed assistance. She's the best ever. The boy wonder (27 year old son) lives in LA, since last October. His sister says, "the next one is yours!"

Late summer early fall vacation - out for my next sailing adventure. Leaving for 8 days on the seas running between Bristol, RI and wherever, can't wait!

I recently returned from a much needed Ft. Lauderdale to Key West sailing vacation. The picture was taken in a Marina in the Keys and is an accurate representative. I take a terrible picture, my opinion. Although I went to U of Miami MANY years ago I never got to see The Keys from the water. Great days and nights ... amazing food and a few unforgettable characters (not including my shipmates). Got money to burn, be sure to check out Little Palm Island Resort and Spa. the film PT109 was filmed there before it was turned into one of the world's top 500 destinations.

My curiosity grows as I try to understand what women are looking for in a man. Perhaps I don't sound serious enough? Perhaps I sound too confident or too insincere or too full of myself? Well truth be told, I do have a serious side but I don't dwell on the serious. I am confident but not overly and certainly not full of myself.

Recent observation regarding the perception that men are looking for younger "arm candy" to reaffirm their virility. I've just spent 1.75 hours reading and reviewing "matches" and a statistically significant number of women indicate they're looking for younger men. What's up with that?

I'm curious - fun loving - active - verbal - well read - good dancer - well traveled - engaging - enthusiastic - creative - non-linear thinker - great listener - intellectually hungry - movie/music lover - parent of 2 adults - looking for love in all the wrong places - hard working - hard playing - funny - silly - serious.

I am an irony hunter, irreverent, and warm and cuddly.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've become a bit crazed relative to my health of late. Bought a weight bench and some barbells. Lifting about 3-4 times a week catching up on multi-seasons of Battlestar Galactica (sp?)

Trying to figure out how to be more productive and find more and newer ways to challenge myself professionally and intellectually.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a parent and friend. I'm not quite sure about the rest!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall (6'5"), with silver hair and my speaking and singing voice, a deep, loud baritone. I'm easy to talk with, i.e. non-judgemental and sensitive most people surprise themselves with how quickly they open up to me. I can be surprisingly shy at odd times.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Blade Runner to Man On a Wire; Just saw "Animal Kingdom" a MUST!!!!!

Dave Mason - Traffic - Clapton (is god!) - Pearl Jam - U2 - Mose Allison - Barry White: I honestly can't think of any genre and few recording "artists" I don't like although I'm neither a big Barry Mannilow nor Rod McKuen fan. I like Ferlinghetti and Leonard Cohen as well as most of the "beat" poets. My 27 year old daughter has gotten me interested in Opera.

Like the Dramatic as well as Musical theater.

Ray Bradbury - Steven King - Bill Bryson - but recently have gotten into a fiction rut.

I'm rebelling against open ended questions. My lists are too rich and my memory for names (book, novelists, singers, artists) is too poor.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family - Friends - Aly/Adam (kids) - Sailing - Ocean - Love: This list is a good start for someone with little patience for compiling such lists. The order/sequence is flexible.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How best to contribute, i.e. work, kids, economy, world peace. Being comfortable and making others comfortable. Edit (10/27/09) Having just spent the weekend with my 2 kids in Syracuse (daughter in Grad School - Maxwell) I found myself thinking how lucky I am to have 2 adult children who appear to love spending time with me as much as I love to spend time with them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm in retail management so I'm often working. Otherwise I could be reading at a local "establishment" with music or a pro-sports game in the background.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
