My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I ran away from the circus to go to school. A bit backward, I know, but it's all worked out pretty well.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I grew up in Chicago, went to school in Michigan, and spent a few years in rural Georgia working on one of the largest things to ever fly. I'm currently in Seattle working on a more... civilian project.

So, still pretty new to Seattle, definitely keeping myself busy with all the fun hobbies that you can pick up around here. Who would have thought that access to a laser cutter and 3D printer would bring so much joy to my life?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Well, other than circus stuff (straps and flying trapeze lately), I play a mean game of chess. Playing against the old Chinese guys at Westlake Park downtown on the giant board is a lot of fun.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Chances are good I'm upside down.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Things that I've seen/watched/read/eaten/drunk recently that I'd probably geek out over with pretty much anyone that brought them up:

Birdman: I think this might be my favorite movie I've seen this year. Good lord, just everything about it is great.

Book: Longitude. I've always loved clocks and watches, but this gave me a wonderful appreciation for the early days of really precise engineering. Also convinced me to finally get going on building my clock.

TV: GoT is great and all, but Bob's Burgers makes me unconditionally happy. And has given me a new appreciation for butts.

Music: I could probably listen to this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-CnWwbeetE) on repeat for the rest of my life and be happy.

Food: So long, cherry season, I'll think of you often. On to the apples!

Drink: Working my way through too many bottles of Amaro trying to find out what to do with them. Current favorites: Cardamaro Manhattans and Cynar Negronis. Might make more Penicillins now that the weather is starting to turn.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Usually whatever weird scientific advancement I read about most recently. The Rosetta pictures (and the color-corrected ones) are gorgeous.

Also Batman.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I really like going to cocktail bars and watching the bartenders make fancy drinks. It's very relaxing, watching someone who is very good at what they do, just moving and mixing and making. Plus, it gives me ideas for home and I can drink while I watch.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm better with a yoyo than I'm comfortable admitting in public.

You have a funky hobby that you want to show off. Like, if you study words that use a q without u to improve your scrabble score, or you're a secret pool shark, or can knit mathematically interesting shapes. First dates should be about finding out what awesome things there are that you never thought to try before.
