Whew, I was concerned for a second there.

Nope, I'm definitely not an Objectivist. I can go on living my life now, knowing that I deserve to live it.

"Capitalism is a self-correcting system. Corporate monopolies that provide inferior products will be broken by small businesses and innovation. Employers who treat employees unfairly will find it impossible to keep employees at their companies. The government does not need to regulate business for these reasons."

If you actually believe this is true, after knowing how frequently corporate monopolies destroy businesses despite their crappy products (such as Wal-Mart), then you are already lost. And if you honestly think that employers who treat employees unfairly have trouble keeping employees, you know nothing about how the wage system works, or how impossible it is for some people to find jobs. You say that homeless people are lazy and should find a job, and actually expect them to leave that job once they've found it, simply because they're treated like shit?!

No, if you believe these things, you should be shot on sight. I'm generally pro-gun-control, but I'll make an exception.

And Libertarians, stop trying to pretend you're anarchists. Anarchism is anti-authoritarian. Capitalism reeks of authoritarianism—it is about controlling and hurting other people, and power struggles. You cannot be an anarchist if you are pro-capitalism.

Your Score: Probably a Socialist

You are 30% Objectivist!

You're pretty much as un-objectivist as you can get. You think people deserve things whether they work for them or not, and you don't have a problem with taking things from one person to give them to another. You have most likely said "Communism is a great theory, it just doesn't work in practice" at some point recently. You would definitely benefit from some time outside an academic environment.

This Song Makes Me Cry in a Good Way

I love the result I got, just because it's my favourite song right now.

"Under you spell again
I can't say no to you..."
*Sniffle*

Your Score: Good Enough

You scored 22darkness, 44 sadness!

Weeelll, aren't you a ray of goddamn sunshine? :) Nah, seriously, you're OK. This is a song by Evanescence: Good Enough. That's how you feel. You're satisfied with who you are and you're notafraid to show it. Perhaps your life isn't perfect, but you manage to handle it just fine. Keep up the good work. ;)

So True

Your Score: "Suzanne"

You scored 55%!

You are Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne." You are the girl everyone wants to be. Number one, Mr. Cohen refers over and over to your "perfect body," so that should make you feel good, right? You're also wise, trustworthy and thoughtful. Your fashion sense is endearingly quirky. You live by the water and watch the boats go by while you're lying in bed with your honey on a warm afternoon, then you serve tea and oranges that come all the way from China, which shows that you are a good hostess. "And you know that she's half crazy/But that's why you want to be there," says Mr. Cohen. See? You're crazy in a GOOD way. You're impulsive, slightly reckless, and never boring. Intelligent people will always be drawn to you because you see beauty in everything. If you're not in some kind of creative field, you should be.

Hmm...what are a girl's fantasies then?

Aw damn. I guess I don't know my own fantasies after all. :p

Your Score: Pretty good

You scored...

Ahhh...the average Joe...but...you are learning! Be sure to let her know when you finish, show her what you want, make her feel appealing and naughty. She may act shy at first, but there is a vixen in her just waiting to get out!

Green Liberal

LoL. I'm not a liberal at all. I'm a socialist. And John Kerry isn't a liberal; he's a centrist. Michael Moore is a moderate.
As for Ralph Nader...*sigh*...he's a corrupt politician like the rest of them. He accepted endorsements from the Reform (highly racist segragationists) and Republican parties. He's also been accused of union busting.

Green Liberal
You scored 70% social on social permissiveness and 21% on economic permissiveness.A Green Liberal believes in a moderate to high amount of economic intervention, and a low to moderate amount of social intervention. They generally attempt to uphold civil liberties, while being against capitalism. They tend to emphasize domestic policy and be against police powers, war, and laws regulating individual social behavior. They generally believe in a moderate to relatively strong social safety net or welfare state and general personal liberty. Some Greens may be likely to emphasize safety, the environment and animal rights. Greens may sometimes form aliances with liberals, paleo-liberals and socialists. Examples of a Green liberal would be John Kerry, Ralph Nader, and Michael Moore.

Do you subscribe to/believe in the...?

Do you subscribe to/believe in the philosophies of Ayn Rand?
  • Yes
  • Absolutely not
  • I don't care about her philosophies
  • I don't know what you're talking about

This is a wonderful question. Too bad I can't tell on someone's profile if they answered "yes" to it or not. I have a passionate hatred of Ayn Rand. Every person I know who believes in her philosophy has turned out to be completely immoral, selfish, and greedy. The "each man for himself" philosophy, along with the "humans are innately greedy" one is a dangerous combination that has led politicians, CEOs and other leaders alike to hurt other people in the name of profit. Ayn Rand is, by all definitions in the DSM IV (Diagnostic Statistics Manual for psychology) a sociopath. I am certainly not saying that she alone has caused people in this world to act that way. I'm just saying people like her have serious problems.

Any look at the oldest cultures on Earth (including the oldest of all, the Bushmen of the Kalahari desert, whose culture is at least 35,000 years old) will show you that humans practiced cooperation, and have been very social creatures for the majority of our existence as a species. The belief that humans are innately greedy is one that people use when they are trying to give themselves an excuse to act the way they wish, or a rationale for the way they have already acted. It was born out of thousands of years of hierarchical conditioning, as opposed to tens of the thousands of years before that of virtually egalitarian cooperation. We can no longer use this as an excuse.

From my blog from a year ago: You simply cannot determine human nature by observing humanity today. You must realize that industrialized culture hasnt been around for more than 200 years, and our species is over 100,000 years old (to use conservative estimates). I think over time, we've been corrupted past anything natural. The way we treat each other isn't a result of something inherent; it's from thousands and thousands of years of abuse, passed down through the ages. Of course, that's all my knowledge of psychology and anthropology talking.

Simply put, humans are past the point of being able to blame cruel behaviors on "nature". We separate ourselves from nature and claim to be above it, and yet at the same time, say that we have no control over what nature intends for us. We must choose one or the other. And we must take responsibility for our cruelty to each other and to nature, or our species is not nearly as intelligent as we think we are.

Hey, look at that! I have room for 5,000 instead of 300 now! A couple OKCupid friends gave it to me as a gift...not sure how much it cost. That worries me. I think I may be a bit confused.

I was just contacted by a woman who wants me to have a threesome with her and her boyfriend. Where the hell do people get the idea that I'm interested in that kind of shit? Read my profile first, please! I don't care if you have DD tits or blonde hair. I'm just not that shallow. Jeez. And I'm not interested in online romantic relationships. If I know you in person, it's a different story. Plus, I know it says I'm bi, but for the past five years, up until a couple months ago, I thought I was straight. I've only been attracted to five women in my entire life.

I will soon write a post about my spirituality, since half of the people who message me seem interested in it. I just have to gather all the information I've written about it before.

My first post! Wooohoo!

So I've been on OKCupid for what, 2, 3 years now? Yeah. This is my first journal post.
This is where I can say things that are up-to-date and don't have to be true for the known future like on my profile. So glad OKCupid finally came around to giving us this great emotional outlet.

So I'm pathetic. I've taken over 1,000 tests. Haven't taken many in the past year, but before that, I had taken about 1 out of every 10.

I unfortunately have run out of room in my mailbox, as I have exceeded 300 messages, and am too lazy to actually get rid of any. Except for the flamingly insulting ones primarily about my politics test. May I ask what the point is in insulting someone whose ideas are obviously vastly different from yours and will continue that way for the foreseeable future? Are you doing humankind a great service by trying to convince me of the error of my ways when you know damn well that I don't respond to verbal abuse? Sorry, ranting there. It's what I do best.

So if you want me to message you back, please give me your email or something, since I seem to still be able to receive messages, but not send them.
