My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a little hard to describe in words. Music is a huge part of my life, but I do have lots of other interests. I play drums in a 90s rock band for fun and yes I actually do play the sitar. I work in the concert industry so I spend a lot of time going to shows, sometimes for work and sometimes for pleasure. I run a lot when the weather is nice and have recently gotten into running races. I like cooking dinners and reading lots of books, particularly on astronomy or economics. I also go to a lot of science lectures and events because science is cool ... if you're a fan of Neil deGrasse Tyson we'll definitely get along. Like everybody else, I love to travel and have been to some interesting places around the world. Next big trip is to Antarctica in December. Not gonna lie, I'm kind of excited about it :) If you have any great suggestions for cool places to go visit let me know!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in subscriptions for a performing arts organization doing ticketing and customer service. I also work side gigs with a major concert promoter.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Getting from point A to point B, remembering things, and a myriad of other odd skills with few practical applications
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am very happy all the time

I read a lot of non fiction books. Topics range from physics and outer space to economics and psychology. I'll read pretty much anything that sounds interesting.

Movies: Shawshank Redemption, Caddy Shack, My Cousin Vinny, Amadeus, Lean on Me, Bad Santa, Spinal Tap, Princess Bride

TV: COSMOS, Seinfeld, Big Bang Theory and anything on Food Network. Not really tv but I also enjoy watching TED talks.

I listen to a lot of different genres of music. Some all time favorites are The Beatles, Phish, The Band, Bruce Springsteen, Mozart, John Coltrane, John Williams, Irshad Khan. More recent favorites are Radiohead, Tame Impala, Moon Taxi, Love in Stockholm, Anoushka Shankar, Oliver Mtukudzi, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Jon Batiste

Favorite food is definitley mac and cheese. I also love appetizers at Japanese restaurants.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order: sitar, live music, friends, enough sleep, a book, hot tub
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What it would feel like to fall into a black hole
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
During the season I'm usually seeing a concert at work. Occasionally it's nice to just come home after a week, go for a long run and cook something nice for dinner.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

When it's hot outside I often wear a bathing suit around the house.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have something thoughtful or interesting to say. Let's be honest, I really don't care what show you binge watched on Netflix last weekend. I'm all for keeping up with your favorite tv shows, but if that's all you want to talk about when you first meet someone then that tells me you're not a very interesting person. If you've read a good book, been to a fun event or traveled to a cool place recently I'd love to hear about it. If not well then you need to get out more.

Also if you live for going to concerts .... that's sort of my thing :)
