My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Really? This whole page is a summary. And they want a summary just for this summary?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've just graduated from Belmont and am now working as a musicologist for Naxos. The plan is to go to grad school in New York or Los Angeles some time next year and work in commercial scoring for media. Also travel or whatever, because staying in one place for a long time kind of sucks. I have a list of a bunch of different places I want to visit, among them Tristan da Cunha, Svalbard, Maldives, Australia, and Antarctica.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Languages? I like learning languages.

I can make some decent salsa.

I'm good at playing pool if I'm drunk.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have "composer hair?" My appearance is pretty nondescript, so I feel like the first things people notice about me are going to be stuff I say or do. Apparently I can be funny, if you happen to have exactly the same sense of humor as me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I don't read many books, but my favorite novel is The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Heinlein and my favorite non-fiction book is Gödel, Escher, Bach by Hofstadter.

I have really wide-ranging tastes in movies. Two of my favorites are Ink and Spirited Away. Also Contact, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Silver Linings Playbook.

I don't really ever watch TV, but I was a huge fan of Star Trek: Voyager and the first few seasons of House and Family Guy. I recently finished watching every single episode of The West Wing, and it's now my favorite show.

Being a composer, I'm not particularly biased against many genres of music, but I don't really listen to hip-hop, ska, most "alternative" rock, metal, showtunes, or Christian rock (speaking of which, how is that even a genre?). I'll listen to just about anything else, but I'm partial to downtempo electronic stuff, brazilian music, jazz, solo indie stuff, and classic rock.

I love salsa. That's all there is to know about my food habits.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Well this is kind of a silly question. I think this is supposed to say "the six things I would least like to do without," so I'll do that.

Pandora (not the planet from Avatar, the website)
Gin and/or bourbon (probably and)
Being outside
Oh, being able to hear. That's important.

I'm really not materialistic. Good food, good music, and good company is about all I need.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Stuff other than how to fill these things out.

I feel like most of my brain time is spent just trying to figure out how I'm going to do all the stuff I have to do. The rest of it is spent daydreaming or coming up with musical ideas or whether I want a sandwich. I ponder things a lot less than I used to.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with the roommates or friends or something (I know, a really creative response for this), having a drink and chilling or writing or whatever, or probably like driving somewhere. I really don't like to be very active in my free time. I save that for mornings.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The problem is that there isn't anything I'm not willing to admit. I'm just not going to do it publicly on the internet.
