My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just moved to SF in September. I'm a computational biologist working on how microbes take up and process nutrients. In my spare time, I make glitchy electronic music and do the odd remix for friends. Physically speaking, I play tennis decently (3.5-4.0), like beer league softball, and like biking again now that I have a bike that isn't so heavy. I also enjoy reading and kicking around ideas.

A close friend describes me as equal parts cynical and doofy, which I think is pretty accurate. I'm disorganized as fuck, but resourceful enough to muddle on through. I'm about 60-40 intro-extrovert (reversed if I've been drinking) and I love stoner-y humor, gratuitous crudeness, and gratuitous wordplay. I'm pretty friendly. I have an inner "Tom of Finland" streak.

Physically, I'm roughly ferret shaped. What up, mustelids.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Academia. I do a sort of mixed grill of biochem and computer science. I'm also qualified to give people diet advice, as long as those people are microbes.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my smile, or according to at least one person, my eyebrows. Above the waist, anyway.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music. Projects. Stuff to read. Physical activity. Solitude. Other people.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
music, statistics, biology, queer stuff, where all my shit is, what I'm going to eat next
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
In lab, or vibrating along with a sound system, or taking a field trip for food, or kicking back with some Netflix, or settling into a big meal with friends, or sleeping. I fucking love sleeping.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If it were legal and not antisocial I would pee outside 100% of the time.
