I'm a young twenty-something Washingtonian who, no surprise here, is employed by the federal government. I'm a complete xenophile and love to travel. I’ve spent about a year in the Middle East and have hit up a few of the major central European countries. I would love to start making my way around Central America or Africa at one point but work and obligations and have pinned me down for the time being.

I'm pretty laissez faire and laid back but very passionate about certain topics. I get pretty wide-eyed at the weirdest things. I love to learn and so facts and information fascinate me.

I'm a big fan of just getting up and going somewhere, anywhere and who knows where you end up or how. I love the great outdoors, music and dancing, good beer/wine with good company, great conversation, and theater, art and literature.

I’m originally a Jersey girl, and I’ve noticed people tend to have their own opinions about what that means. Tread carefully, I am actually Jersey proud.

My family is half German so yes, I grew up bi-lingual but it’s not like German is particularly sexy language. And I do believe that somewhere lurks a photo of me at age 5 wearing lederhosen.

Who really knows what they're doing with their life? I feel like this question is a challenge that can probably not be answered in the space alloted in a text box on a dating website. So i'm not going to try. If you're really interested to know ask me yourself.

getting myself into awkward situations... I'm kind of a klutz verbally and physically so often i end up foot in mouth or knocking over the wine glass. Sorry in advance.

I guess in terms of skill.... I'm good with languages. Cooking, I love to cook. But I guess that’s a matter of taste. I really love soccer. I haven’t played in a couple of years but as I can remember I’m pretty good.

Physically I'm pretty tall for a woman, so usually that, and my green eyes I guess. Mentally, I'm somewhat sarcastic and witty so that's generally what they notice about my personality.

I’m a stare-er I tend to zone out and stare at strangers. It makes some people uncomfortable. It’s generally unintentional but I’m pretty unabashed about scrutinizing the more bizarre among us.

This is a loaded question. I'll just say this: Love to read, but don't often find the time. The four books that I’m working on currently are “And the Hippos were Boiled in their Tanks,” Jack Kerouac & William S. Burroughs, “Creating a World Without Poverty,” Muhammad Yunus (bonus points if you know who this guy is without Google), "Seven Pillars of Wisdom" T.E. Lawrence, "The Places In Between" Rory Stewart.

Love movies, not a fan of watching so much TV, would rather rent a flick. I watch everything from romantic comedies, to action/adventure to foreign language/indie films. I do hate horror movies.

Love music, but I'm bad with the whole what-band and which-song. All I know is good music makes me want to move and bad music bores me. I tend to stick to classic rock but will listen to just about anything. I’ll even do classical/opera. I draw the line at polka. Though I do tend to find most rap uninteresting.

Love to cook, when I have people to cook for. I have developed full scale personal philosophies about food and world cultures and personal pleasure that is too extensive to list here. I’m not a fan of picky eaters. I’m the kind of person who will order the strangest thing on the menu. Though usually I don’t eat treif.

Toothbrush? Don't quite know what to put here but everyone says "don't forget your toothbrush" so at least I'll need that...
