After years of studying, collecting degrees, and working crazy
hours, I am finally trying to take some time to play and enjoy
life. My favorite thing to do is skate. I get totally lost in the
flow of doing tricks and dancing and sometimes can't imagine a
better way to spend my time.
In the past few years I have been exposed to some amazing people in
the
burner
community and am hoping to meet more open minded folk of that
sort. I am just looking for fun people to hang out with and do
circus-y things with. If you are into
skating,
acrobatics,
fire poi,
acroyoga,
trapeze,
hooping,
yoga etc, then we should hang out. Couch
potatoes need not apply.
I just got back from a trip to Costa Rica and it has re-invigorated
me to travel and see things and meet people. Book learning is great
and all, but it seems to be paling in comparison to getting to know
people on a deeper level. I want to hear their stories and
understand better what inspires people in the hopes that it will
help me find my inspiration in life.
With that said, I know that eventually I'll have to focus again and
spend time studying for the CPA exam, but it's fallen on my list of
important things to do at this point.
skating on one foot backwards through cones - beyond that I'm a
small bit of a workaholic that is trying to be cured
This would depend on what I'm doing. If I'm on my skates, they
notice my skating :) If I'm doing an acrobatic performance - well,
they notice that I'm balanced upside down on someone's feet. But if
they talk to me, they realize that I have a big heart and I care
deeply about my family and friends.
My favorite book of all times is Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson -
I'm a sucker for
sci-fi. Throw in there my favorite TV
show Battlestar Galactica and the myriad of Orson Scott Card books
that I've read and you'll realize that I like to live in fantasy
worlds.
I have to admit that my favorite movie of all time is
Pride and
Prejudice and that I own several versions of it, including a
Bollywood version.
My musical tastes tend to flow with my skating more than anything
else. Crystal Method, Interpol, Fisherspooner,Thievery Corporation,
Ramones, 7 Seconds, Social Distortion and when I'm in a girlie mood
- Norah Jones, Mazzy Star, and strangley enough Love and Rockets.
