My self-summary
I was born in Paris, grew up in New York and Florida, and moved out to San Francisco about eleven years ago. The things that really get me excited are music, books, film, art, the theatre, and sports. Sure, there are other things I enjoy, but those are the things that make me froth at the mouth. If you're not mildly snobby about at least one of those things, maybe we're not a good match. In other words, if your favorite band is Train, your favorite book is Twilight, the only thing you've seen on Broadway is Spider-Man the musical, AND the last time you observed a sporting event was that opening ceremony with all the pretty lights in China, we might not be a perfect match. I can take three of those, but four is just too much.

I fall just short of conforming to all the requisite online dating cliches. I enjoy traveling, but have not been to all seven continents, hiked Machu Picchu, and taught blind orphans calculus in Madagascar. I very much enjoy exercise, but I have never in my life even trained for a quarter-marathon, much less a half or a full. I am not EXACTLY as comfortable with a night out on the town as I am with a relaxing evening curled up with a bottle of Merlot and a good movie, but it's somewhere around the 60-40 range.
What I’m doing with my life
I teach and write. I feed my head with interesting things, then see what comes back out.
I’m really good at
Naming pub trivia teams

I spend a lot of time thinking about
The 80s. Were they really that great, or is it just because I was viewing them through the rose-colored glasses of a child? I mean, Real Genius couldn't have been THAT great a movie, could it? Wait, I know the answer to that question.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm usually trying to rally to go out. San Francisco is a pretty amazing city, so I try to take advantage of it. I mean, I could watch Two and a Half Men while gorging on Corn Chips anywhere, right?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You should message me if
You want to meet up for a drink, a laugh, and marriage within 6-8 months. (kidding!)
