I have a frequent smile, a curious mind, a strong shoulder, a love and appreciation for life, a warm and generous heart, amazing friends and a family that I love and adore, tons of gratitude, empathy, guts, and a twisted sense of humor. I'm grounded, fiercely loyal, and responsible, but not boring. I am a work in progress. I'm flawed, but not fatally so. I'm not like anyone you've ever met. I love laughing until my face hurts, music, books, movies, yoga...sushi, coffee, chocolate croissants and a good steak every once in a while. I'm complicated but not tricky. I laugh from my soul. I'm serious, but don't take myself too seriously. I get it. I share my NYT crosswordpuzzle. I want to run off and see the world one day.

I am raising teenaged boys, 13 and 17. Need I say more? They are pretty independent though and have their own lives.

I work, quite a bit, and sometimes crazy hours. I'm a birth doula-I support my clients through the entire birth process and attend their labors. It is definitely my calling. In my spare time, I run the business of a fashion designer. It can get a little schizophrenic.

I do yoga and other stuff like pilates as often as I can. Sometimes I box. I take care of myself but I'm not obsessed. I read and go to movies...I spend as much time as I can with my amazing friends. I laugh alot. I am trying to plan out how I can cover all of the continents in the next 20 years or so.

Lots of things.

I like a few things on tv right now-Mad Men, Live from Abbey Road, True Blood, Dexter, Californication, Nurse Jackie, Big Love, Sons of Anarchy. And "Sex and the City" re-runs, of course.

Movies? Tons. Books? Same. Just saw "September Issue". Amazing. Love Hitchcock, John Hughes, Woody Allen and Pedro Almodóvar. Just finished reading "The Glass Castle" and "Tipping Point". Getting back into classics like Catch-22 and Atlas Shrugged. I tend to like heavy-duty.

Not a super picky eater. Love sushi, authentic Mexican, Italian, Chinese food from San Gabriel Valley, soul food, fish, brunch...

Hmm, depends on the week. On a regular week I like to at least get to a movie, and see my friends either for dinner or just relaxing at someone's house. I love to go listen to bands and go to restaurants I've never been to. I'm always open to that. I prefer a few friends to large groups, though I do like meeting people out at a bar if or big dinner parties. Honestly, some weeks I'm happiest lying low to the ground at home, either alone or with others-getting take out and watching Tivo. I'm both really private and very social-less complicated than it sounds.

You love to laugh; you are supportive and adaptable; self-aware and strong in your own way; real and able to live and find happiness in the present; emotionally available and courageous, interested, affectionate. Imperfect in a good way. Like to write. You have a passion for something. Bonus points if you can cook and love your mom.
