My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My two part username includes a nickname, that has stood the test of time since university, and my instrument of choice, that I am now starting to control, rather than the years spent the other way round. I'm slowly raising my standard on the piano as well, giving the neighbours a bit of a break from the trumpet.

My book shelf holds a number of foreign language phrase books and I am always looking to add another and attempt to get further than page 1 (ordering a beer and a loaf of bread, although both useful to know).

I count myself very fortunate to have three young nieces who are always looking to keep their uncle active. Swimming, bowling and justdance are pretty high on their list of choices at the moment.

I've always had a small circle of friends who I feel very close to, rather than a wider group who I rarely see.

Feel free to contact me and, hopefully, I will be able to add you to that group.

Currently working my way through a bit of an epic on Lincoln and I'm pretty gripped by it. I'm never too far away from Gulliver's Travels, Animal Farm and 1984. I also keep ticking a few Dickens off my list.

After much consideration, my top five films are Star Wars, Singin' in the rain, The Sting, The Dark Knight and Hawk the Slayer.

My parents ensured a diverse taste in music. My dad got me into swing, jazz and classical, especially the brass bits. My mum introduced me to the 60's (possibly pop's best decade) and easy listening (always Dean Martin over Frank Sinatra). University brought me the 90's.

Food wise, Indian ahead of Chinese but probably fish and chips ahead of both. Pizza ahead of pasta. Barbecue ahead of Sunday roast (I've always struggled with the "use every pan in the house" roast).

You are someone who would be equally happy climbing a mountain, watching a show or drinking tea and having a lie in. Someone musical, ready to dance at the drop of a beat. Someone to share experiences with and relive them in the future.
