Most of what I have written in the past still applies. Most of the questions I answered a couple of years ago when I hurt my knee skiing and was on the couch for a weekend. I have edited a few and updated some comments but I am pretty well the same, just a little older and better looking...
I have visited many dating sites and one of the thing I see is that many people post a profile and then it goes stale. I also have let that happen in the past as well. I have decided that to find my "perfect" match is to make sure that all is current and straight forward. I want a great match with someone that is open and honest. I figure that must be a two way street and so I will edit my profile to put forward the best and worst of me.
At our age, we are what we are. I know that I am flexible to a point and would like my partner to be that way as well but no matter what anyone says we all have baggage. Some good, some bad. I like to refer to my baggage as stories. If you do not have a bunch of stories by this time then you have not lived. I love my past. It has made me the person I am today. Would I make changes? You bet... Regrets, oh yea. Did I learn from them? Yes, and I still am looking to be the best person I can. I have had a couple of relationships since my divorce 8 years ago. Leaned a lot about what is important to me because of these wonderful women.
Now I really am looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with. Kind of scary? Yes. Hopeful, Yes.
If I reach out to you it is because I see something that might be a fit for now and ... Take a chance... I am worth it.
Below are some facts that will help you to make a decision if we are a fit. They are an important look at who I am and who I want in my life.
I love to snow ski but have not been up for the last 2 seasons. The conditions have just not been good enough.
My next passion is college football. I grew up in Southern Oregon and went to college at SOC (Who won the national championship in their division) but since my school is not on TV I support all Oregon teams but the Ducks are my favorite. My youngest son is at U of O and so I really am a Duck more that anything. It is really the only time I will watch a lot of TV. Most of the time I will DVR games so I can enjoy the great fall in Oregon and watch the games later. My ideal partner will also like college football or at least tolerate my love for it.
Oregon is great in the spring and summer to enjoy the outside. I love to Hike, Bike, Fly Fishing (hook and release only), Golfing (not very good) and bungee jumping! I want to get into Kayaking this summer as well and I need a partner.
I love to meet new people and get to know them. I have found that the women I have met online are all great people but not always a great fit.
I am picky and I expect you to be as well. I am really looking for my last love and I know I will find you.
As the Cars say "You might think I'm Crazy, but I want is you..."
Oh, I am tired of all politics. It does not seem like anyone gets anything done once they get elected, Both the right and left are both right and wrong. When people our age were just learning about politics a lot of our problems were worked out in those "smokey back rooms". Things got done. Nobody was worried about CNN or Twitter and compromises were made. We need strong people with strong commitments to learn how to give and take. Everybody wins then. The resignation of our Governor is a sad day for us but hopefully we can all learn from their mistakes.
Sometimes I share too much...
