Anyway...I've lived in Seattle my whole life and absolutely love it here. Perhaps too much, seeing that I've seriously thought about laying bricks at the city limits just so I can keep the city to myself. When I'm not fantasizing about building The Great Wall 2.0, I'm a big-time walker. I think we can all be honest with ourselves and say that Seattle has some of the best views around. Walking isn't always the fastest way around town, so I also love biking around the city when I can.
I think I own enough blue and green clothes for the both of us, which goes over well with the Seattle sports crowd. I am a long-suffering Mariners fan who, despite the hopelessness of the franchise, can't stop spending my paycheck at the ballpark. When not at Safeco, you can find me attempting to play various sports while pretending to be my childhood sports heroes, or teaching kids how to do the same. I volunteer as a baseball coach for kids aged 10-13, and I absolutely love it. I have way too much fun trying to be the little league coach who wants to win while fighting that urge all at the same time. When I'm not goofing off with a bunch of preteens, I make money conducting lab research for a global health non-profit. I love working on neglected tropical diseases that no one has ever heard of. I get a lot of satisfaction from working with brilliant minds and feeling like I’m part of an organization that actually makes a difference.
