I love stupid jokes, asking interesting questions, playing devil's
advocate and art for art's sake. I believe the way to appreciate
the beauty in something is to understand it, so moments of insight
are my most valued experiences and I find the concept of faith
repellant. Also, I fucking love science! I believe in the power of
words, that each utterance is a concious act with potentially
profound consequences for the world.
I am commitedly polyamourous (consensual nonmonogamy), based
somewhat around the ideas in the wonderful book: 'The Ethical
Slut'. Communication, negotiation, patience and a genuine joy in
your partner's or partners' happiness are the cornerstones of my
I'm looking for someone intelligent and passionate who's up for
whiling away the hours in stimulating conversation.
What I’m doing with my life
Acting! I'm currently in full time actor training at the Adelaide
College of the Arts and I love it. I have finally found (after a
long time drifting around in hospitality jobs) what I want to do
with myself. Whatever happens I want to be involved in theatre
making, whether I'm directing shows on Broadway or just taking
tickets for Fringe shows, I don't care! I have big dreams of going
to London or New York when my course is over in 2 years time.
But really, I'm trying to learn something, I'm trying to change and
to grow. I reckon that any time in our lives where things aren't
changing (especially ourselves) then we have no real way of marking
the time and it slips by us. So, I never want to get too
I’m really good at
Articulating and expressing myself. Understanding and getting along
with people, even when we've just met (I guess that's why I'm in
hospitality!). Asking the right question. Picking the right moment.
Remembering (lots) of useless information.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm as silly as I am smart. I'm optimistic. I'm terribly
disorganised. I'm open. I'm fond of purple. I'm English.

The six things I could never do without
Theatre; sex; friendship; conversation; the internet; video games
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What kind of artist I want to be and what I want to say with my
art. Where technology could take us in 10 or 20 years. What we
could be achieving if we weren't all so messed up. What's it like
to be other people and what makes people do what they do. Reminding
myself I am on a tiny ball of rock in a unimaginably large
Hmmm... I might be quite an abstract thinker, I either think in
infinities, or about a week ahead.
So, more practically:
The script or monologue I'm working on. My
relationships/frienships. Sex. Not having any money. Trying to
remember what I may have forgotten to do or where I might have to
On a typical Friday night I am
Waiting tables in a fancy restaurant. If I have the night off,
ideally I'll be sharing drinks and epic chats with good friends,
maybe after seeing a show.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have the weirdest soft spot for trashy pop music and TV. I get
Taylor Swift lyrics stuck in my head and walk around singing them
without realising. Also, I have watched all of True Blood and The
