My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Gentlemen, the reason I've called you all here is this:

Hi, My name is Sky and I recently [updated: a few years ago] moved back to Orlando for a J.O.B. I went to grad school here several years ago, and since then I've worked several places, most recently Atlanta, and Chicago before that. It's good to be back, though.

To begin with, I'm kind of a nerd. But I'm what I call a Functioning Nerd, which means I can get along just fine with just about anyone, including non-nerds. Biologists call this phenomenon "symbiosis."
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in video game development at Electronic Arts (EA) here in town. Well, Maitland actually. At EA I work as a Technical Artist, and it would take several minutes of babbling to fully explain what that job title entails. Suffice it to say it's where 3d art production meets programming.

I consider myself very lucky to be working in my chosen industry and getting paid for it, but in the past few years career has gotten a bit in the way of dating. So I'm looking to get back in the game a bit so that life doesn't pass me by.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I think I'm a decent conversationalist as long as it's something I know a little about.

I TRY to be good at rational thought. I love a good debate and probably sometimes force it on people who weren't really signing up for it when getting into a conversation with me. I assure you it's all in good fun.

And the pièce de résistance: I can juggle.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I would like to say my intellect, but I don't believe in psychic powers so how can they be "first noticing" something like that?

On a less flippant note, people tell me that they notice my lips.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Nonfiction:
For nonfiction I like science or secular oriented authors, such as Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, Christopher Hitchens (RIP), Lawrence Krauss, Sam Harris, Stephen Hawking, Brian Greene, Carl Sagan and... others.

Fiction:
I like science fiction and fantasy type stuff, including Tolkein, George R.R. Martin, Scott Bakker, Phillip Pulman, Robert Jordan, Frank Herbert, H.P. Lovecraft, Charles Stross, James Corey, etc.

Favorite Movies:
Slingblade, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill (well anything by Tarantino), Star Wars (the originals), Star Trek (any), V for Vendetta, The Watchmen, Moulin Rouge, Austin Powers, Dune, The Exorcist, many others.

Shows:
Game of Thrones, Bill Maher, Battlestar Galactica, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Seinfeld, Any Star Trek series (yeah even Enterprise), Colbert, Futurama, Southpark, Rachel Maddow, the new Cosmos, the old Cosmos

Video Games:
I play a lot of games, my favorites most recently are:
The Witcher 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Destiny, Batman: Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Dying Light, MMO's such as WoW and SWTOR. Plenty of others.

Food:
I realized the other day that there is no category of food that I don't adore. I guess I can call out a few particular favorites - Japanese (sushi), Thai, Indian, exotic is good in my book.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Irony
Vodka
Video Games
Science
Kindle
Cats (well I could live without them, but less humorously)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Remember that scene in Slingblade when Vaughan says to Carl, "You seem like a very deep thinker. Tell me what you're thinking about right now." And Carl replies, "I was thinkin' about havin' some more o' them french fried potaters."

That sums it up. In other words, constantly lost in thought about even the mundane and the banal. Also politics.

My secret is out: I overthink things. Time to, uh, take up meditation? (I said meditation, not medication.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Despite my introverted nature, I love going out to the bars on Fridays and Saturdays to drink and be merry with friends. Staying home and playing games or watching movies is cool too.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I still play text-based online games from the 90's.
