I am fun-loving, smart, and fiesty.
My Self-Summary
You may be surprised at all the random stuff I know. Of course,
most of that knowledge isn’t practical. So no matter how esoteric
our conversation gets, I can keep up with fun tidbits to make it
even more esoteric. That’s just a drawn out way of saying that I’m
a kick ass conversationalist, even if I don't know what the
conversation is about. Even though I’m very opinionated, I laugh a
lot. I love a good joke and can tell a few myself. Typically I’m
happy with a decent micro or homebrew, or decent whiskey, with my
friends at my local watering hole. But I don’t just drink while
sitting on my ass, I’m also out at dance clubs, movies, and the
occasional rock show. Regardless, I tend to have fun.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m studying to become a medical doctor. I don’t know what kind
yet, but I’ll figure it out soon! To balance out my studying I like
to do a lot of socializing, and try to spend quality time with a
good fun book too. A lot to balance, I know, but I’m up for the
challenge.
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
My curly hair, the mischievous sparkle in my eye, and my crooked
smile.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books:
the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman, Bridge of Birds by
Barry Hughart, Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell, A Confederacy of
Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by
Susanna Clarke, Captain Jack Zodiac by Michael Kandel
Movies:
Brick, Clue, Children of Men, Pan's Labyrinth, The Princess Bride,
Magnificent Seven, Sleuth [the original]
TV:
Arrested Development, LOST, Deadwood, Venture Bros, True
Blood
Music:
The Spectres, Gogol Bordello, Eats Tapes, and many many more. I
love things with a fast pace and a good beat, but I'll always have
a soft spot for the boy-and-his-guitar genre [Mason Jennings, Jack
Johnson, Andrew Bird]
Food:
Sushi, Ethiopian, Thai, Vietnamese, heck pretty much anything
really. I love *good* food, regardless of the type. I love cheese.
I tend to avoid chain restaurants, but if you can make a compelling
argument for one, I'll be game.
The six things I could never do without
I'm still thinking about this one... People are the first to spring
to mind. Definitely couldn't do without my friends and family.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday night I’ll be out partying, Saturday morning I’ll listen to
NPR, in bed with a book or magazine. Sunday I’ll be out trying to
get some Mother Nature time. Oh yeah, and sprinkle a liberal dose
of studying in there too.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have more body art than you'd guess.
