I am a transplant from the midwest. I've been in San Diego for several years now and still find it amusing when the natives complain about the weather. I laughed out loud when one local weatherman referred to a temperature above freezing as bitterly cold.

I haven't generated that tight circle of friends here, the type where it doesn't matter if there are any plans for the evening you simply gather and you can trust that the night will turn out regardless. I tend to prefer mellow evenings. I've never been into the bar scene, I don't drink alcohol which really lessens the appeal of most bars. I prefer ones where you can easily sit at a booth and have a conversation.

I am open to a wide variety of activities, but without a catalyst I don't tend to engage in many. I did try skydiving despite a lack of adventure by my friends.

I don't know what makes this site different but I like the flavor of the posts here.

I believe that no one is real unless I've seen them in person, until then it's all just fiction. That's not to say that I'm against communicating with imaginary people.

In addition to friends I wouldn't mind finding some tennis players.

After many years my career is about on par with where it was before I came to the west coast. I have lots of things to do with my condo, but I'm in no particular rush. I suppose it's time to work on the social life.

Standardized tests. Unfortunately this isn't a skill that has many applications post college.

Some of the things that I'm pretty good at are, tennis, juggling, trivia, racquetball, disc golf, and general computer oriented skills.

On the flip side, I'm a horrible basketball player, at least for an American.

Nothing other than the biological staples, food, water, sleep, oxygen, etc. If removed altogether as a group TV, books, the internet, music, movies and games would put a big crimp in my lifestyle. No single item would be missed that much but all of them would make the evenings pretty slow.

How I'm going to make a living when my superpowers kick in. It seems like it'd be pretty hard to take advantage of them without being picked up by the black helicopters to be dissected in a lab somewhere.

Sometimes I speculate about my lottery winnings.
