My self-summary
I'm being told this is supposed to be an open-ended essay. If you want to know something ask. How is that for an open ended essay?

Smart-ass comments aside my abridged biography goes something like this: Grew up on a family farm in Upstate New York, got an engineering degree and joined the Air Force. Flew with the Air Force for almost nine years before deciding to try something new. So here I am brand new to the Dallas area and still trying to wrap my brain around all the changes that I've made in my life over the last year.
What I’m doing with my life
Working hard, playing hard and trying to figure out my next step on this crazy road called life. Let's see what all do I have going on in my life... Making a pretty dramatic shift in my life at this point. Just got out of the military and I'm taking a full load of MBA classes at UTD with an eye toward starting a business in the future. When things give me a break or I decide to take a break I'm either trying to figure out where I'm headed next in life or working on about the only hobby I currently keep up with at this point. And that hobby is another story for another time...
I’m really good at
Hmmm! Let's see now...
Finding and fixing problems, getting in WAY over my head and being stubborn for starters. I guess that hits the high points for the time being.
The first things people usually notice about me
I honestly don't know. I don't typically go around asking people what the first thing they noticed about me was!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Too many books to even think about listing, my Wish List on Amazon.com is about a mile long. A mix of history, science, technology, engineering, sci-fi, politics, economics, philosophy and these days lots of business and management. Some favorites: The Guns of August, Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies, Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed, Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, Cosmos, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark, Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space, the Galactic Center series by Gregory Benford and the Dune series by Frank Herbert.

As far as food goes if it isn't currently moving under it's own power I'll consider eating it. Favorites include any kind of Oriental (sushi, sashimi, stir fry etc).
The six things I could never do without
I guess I'm not supposed to list off Maslow's Hierarchy here am I?

1) My freedoms
2) Family
3) Friends
4) Dreams (as in what do I want to be when I grow up? Oh who am I kidding? I'm never going to grow up!)
5) Books! Big thick books that scare most people.
6)

I'll figure out the the last one someday soon.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I'm headed in life.

Why people believe things that have no foundation of observable facts and logic.
On a typical Friday night I am
These days on Friday nights I'm asleep recovering from my week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have secrets and if you get to know me you might learn some of them.
