My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm being told this is supposed to be an open-ended essay. If you want to know something ask. How is that for an open ended essay?

Smart-ass comments aside my abridged biography goes something like this: Grew up on a family farm in Upstate New York, got an engineering degree and joined the Air Force. Flew with the Air Force for almost nine years before deciding to try something new by moving to Dallas to get two Master's degrees in business.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working hard, playing hard and trying to figure out my next step on this crazy road called life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Hmmm! Let's see now...
Finding and fixing problems, getting in WAY over my head and being stubborn for starters. I guess that hits the high points for the time being.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I honestly don't know. I don't typically go around asking people what the first thing they noticed about me was!

Too many books to even think about listing, my Wish List on is about a mile long. A mix of history, science, technology, engineering, sci-fi, politics, economics, philosophy, business and management. Some favorites: The Guns of August, Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies, Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed, Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, Cosmos, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark, Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space, the Galactic Center series by Gregory Benford and the Dune series by Frank Herbert.

As far as food goes if it isn't currently moving under it's own power I'll consider eating it. Favorites include any kind of Oriental (sushi, sashimi, stir fry etc).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I guess I'm not supposed to list off Maslow's Hierarchy here am I?

1) My freedoms
2) Family
3) Friends
4) Dreams (as in what do I want to be when I grow up? Oh who am I kidding? I'm never going to grow up!)
5) Books! Big thick books that scare most people.

I'll figure out the the last one someday soon.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I'm headed in life.

Why people believe things that have no foundation of observable facts and logic.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
These days on Friday nights I'm asleep recovering from my week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have secrets and if you get to know me you might learn some of them.
