My Self-Summary
I grew up overseas, went to college in Colorado, and now work here
at Fort Benning. My greatest passions are skydiving and traveling.
I place great value on intelligence, education, fitness, and a
burning desire to get the most out of life. If you share these
passions we'd probably get along very well! I love music, both
listening to and playing it. Like most guys I like fast cars and
motorcycles and that sort of thing. Having seen a lot of the world
has left me wanting to see the rest of it. I think other cultures,
languages, and histories are fascinating. I speak decent Arabic and
Spanish as well as a touch of Lithuanian and French. I'm not a
drinker or a smoker, I'd rather hang out with good friends or do
something exciting than go to a bar or party and get wasted.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a captain in the Army, slugging my way through a long list of
schools to get to my desired job. I'll get out in a few years when
they try to stick me at a desk and either go work overseas or get
my masters degree if I haven't already and then go work overseas. I
like being overseas! I have a commercial pilot license and worked
as a flight instructor while in college so the option to fly jets
on the civilian side is always tempting.
I’m really good at
Skydiving, flying, shooting, reading. I'm not really good at guitar
or drums but I sure love playing them!
The first things people usually notice about me
I try not to stand out too much, but my eyes I guess. And my
tattoos if I'm wearing a t shirt.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
My favorite book is The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. LeGuin,
it is incredible. Second is 1984 by George Orwell. My favorite
movie is Brazil, directed by Terry Gilliam. It's like 1984 meets
Monty Python. I like his other movies too, Time Bandits, The
Adventures of Baron Munchausen, 12 Monkeys, etc. And 13th Warrior
is a good one. And I love Steven Seagal and have all his movies, so
sue me haha.
The six things I could never do without
Good health, good friends, my family, my dog, skydiving,
motorcycles
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Skydiving! And traveling.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with some buddies [as the DD], at home reading
something or playing a video game, or riding my Harley to the
dropzone.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I love Legos and have a huge collection of them. I'm a nerd, and
I'm fine with it!
