My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in a quaint rainy inlet town a ferry ride away from Seattle, WA. I moved to "the big city" (Seattle) for school, then transferred to a different school near San Jose, CA. Shortly after graduation (a measly two days) I landed a "sweet gig" in the film industry right down here in sunny and smoggy Los Angeles.

I'm an adventurer, a scientist, a writer, an artist (or at least I'm trying to be). I'm what some would call a natural born leader and a faithful companion (like a dog but with marginally less drool).

Also, my "user name" is sleeplessSonic, a combo of Sleepless in Seattle, and the Seattle SuperSonics. With the fifteen character limit on names I had to get creative. Thoughts?

Let's get crazy up in here.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a habitual hobbyist, and a manic multitasker. Be it art, gaming, music, or sport I'm usually knee deep in at least four or five activities.

Meanwhile I have a job that fluctuates from being a regular nine to five gig to being a twelve hour day, six days a week timesink. I'm not saying I don't enjoy my job, it's great, but sometimes I'll log about eighty hours per week and spend the rest of my time trying to relax and/or sleep.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
bragging, being humble, drawing, painting, sculpting, visual effects, simulations, football, opening jars, closing jars, keeping people warm while they sleep, I'm an excellent paper weight, I've never lost at sitting, I'm really good at Disneyland (there is a way to test this I assure you), Monopoly, Scrabble, Pictionary, making really short lists of things I'm good at.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I feel like this category is either misused or abused. So many "my eyes" and "my smile." Very few people list "that massive mole on my neck, which is all well and good, they'll see it eventually.

I'll attempt to say something beyond the norm here...

I'm a big broad shouldered fella, one might say imposing, one might say like a viking, with a hearty laugh and an infectious grin. More than anything people notice that I'm not a shy man by any means, and that's something they usually seem to enjoy. I also have pretty blue eyes.

Well this could take days, I'm just going to add a book here, drop a movie there, slowly but surely I will build it. "If you build it, he will come."

I'm a candy pumpkin nut, the ones that come out during Halloween, they're made of corn syrup and diabetes and will likely kill me. I did a decent job resisting this year, next year will be another trial of willpower.

I grew up in WA, where I had friends with farms. There is nothing in the world like riding a horse up to a tree, picking a perfectly ripe peach/pear/or plum, and slowly biting through the soft skin. When you're pretty much done, you toss it down to the ground and the horse finishes up your core.

My Mom makes this amazing baked ziti, if you can figure out how to make that I'll drop knee and marry you right there.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1 - Something to draw on/with.
2 - My Family.
3 - Musical instruments (guitar, piano, uke, etc)
4 - Nature! I'm talking about trees, mountains, birds, rivers, bees, beavers, dirt, trails, lakes, sticks, waterfalls, stones, and whatnot.
5 - Cotton swabs, love em, can't do without them.
6 -Freakin' Ikea, not because I'm an addicted consumer, but because I know my way through every IKEA instantly. Also check out 500 Days of summer, I can foster those moments with even the most uptight of my guy friends.

That's it for now, I'll just let the question gestate for a while.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
either working or socializing. During high work periods I'll work til 10 on Fridays, drink half a bottle of wine when I get home, then pass out since I have work the next day. Thankfully this is only a few months out of the year, but at least work is fun!

The rest of the time I'm probably having friends over for a game of foosball, pool, or (insert random board game here) with drink in hand. The other alternative to friends is watching a few movies, or "doing art," as much as one can "do art."
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- you don't mind a guy who rides a bike instead of driving a car (by choice, trying some new crazy shit).

- I've presented the foggy outline of a guy you might like.

- you're not a smoker.

-you're more of a night owl than a morning person.

Even if I answer all the questions on okCupid, and fill out every part of the profile page, and take an endless number of pictures I seriously doubt there's any way for you to really know if I'm what you're looking for without talking to me.
