I am loads of fun, somewhat childish, and mildly introverted.

My Self-Summary

my last attempt at this wasn't very sincere and i decided to give it another shot. i went by "fromthetitanic" so please feel free to stop reading if you're familiar with me.

what can be said about me that hasn't been said of everyone else on this site?

when i was 8 years old i told a girl i liked a dirty joke about dolly parton. she told her mom and i got in big trouble with my parents. i visited egypt when i was 20 years old and in the first hour there I ended up cutting my foot in the red sea. i, being the uncultured american that i am, knew nothing about the arabic language or muslim culture and foresaw a ruined trip and a possible amputation. i left the hospital with exactly ONE stitch. yes, that's right ONE. at the age of 28, i was hazed into a chicago bike messenger crew and somehow explored the city of milwaukee duct taped to a guy named "rooster". it probably makes no sense to tell you about these experiences, but i've walked away with three valuable lessons:

1. crude jokes are never the quickest way to a woman's heart
2. there's nothing that can't be fixed
3. never grow up

i can safely say that i live my life around number three and try my best to remember number 2. the first one, well, i'm on here so i probably don't follow that one very well.

What I’m doing with my life

i consult and deal with people all day about healthcare. it's just about the exact opposite of what you learn with a degree in electrical engineering but i get by. it's not exactly what i envisioned for my life but i've managed to seek out people and places that fascinate me to keep me fulfilled. my life seems to be a series of disjointed projects and experiments that have slowly started to form something cohesive and far from ordinary. well, at least that's what i tell myself. i'm most passionate when i'm talking about performance art or the latest project up on butdoesitfloat.com. i spend my spare time researching contemporary photography and am SLOWLY learning how to write about it. nothing makes me happier than finding something amazing and talking about it with my friends. i also get really happy when i think about ways to fool people into calling the rick astley hotline. i bring water balloons to birthday parties and could talk to you for hours about the perfect food fight. there's alot more going on behind the scenes but i can't give it all up on the first date.

I’m really good at

movie hopping in the plaza

The first things people usually notice about me

usually they ask me why i have a black eye. once that's
been explained they notice that i have a lot of varied and interesting
things to talk about.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

i'd prefer to go over this in person

The six things I could never do without

1. al pastor
everything else is negotiable.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

al pastor

On a typical Friday night I am

wishing that fridays were when all the cool bands play.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

i had a bag of pork rinds with a vanilla cappuccino yesterday while driving to the shooting range.
