OK, I'm lying.

But how does anyone really impress someone in a few paragraphs??? All the usual crap is below.

I live out in the country with few neighbors and I like it that way. I don't think I fall into the bumpkin category and definitely not the redneck group.

I've traveled extensively throughout Asia, lived abroad and have lived several places in the U.S. I'm looking for honesty, lots of humor, tolerance and intelligence - and believe I offer same.

Some similar interests and beliefs are nice, but diverse attributes are important, too. I don't want to date a female 'me' (UGH!).

My version of 'attractive' is a little different than most guys...not looking for a 'Barbie'. Probably not looking for a really big girl, but hey, never say never, right?

Farming. I've done the military thing (U.S. Navy), the corporate ladder thing (to Plant Manager before I was 40), the Systems Analyst thing (General Electric) and now I'm farming.

In '09 I plan to get my Organic Produce operation fully off the ground (so to speak).

The challenge for the year will be to start my operation, hopefully make a living and give away as much food as I can.

I've had a lot of practice with my gruff-but-lovable old fart routine and I'm getting pretty good at it. (Of course, right now I'm the only one judging it, so that's subjective).

When the situation calls for it, I can switch to the
crusty old fart persona.

Maybe I should be spending more time thinking about finding someone I care about and that cares about me - but generally I think it just happens, you can't force it...it's counterproductive to agonize over it.
