I am happy to, be here, and really.

My Self-Summary

I enjoy the journals. I like to flirt sometimes. I'm passionate about the things that matter to me. I value my friendships and prefer honesty and openness where I can get it.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm waiting for some contract work to begin, seeking employment and doing things little by little after 19 really good years on a good job in philanthropy. I do occasional performances with a burlesque troupe, Lana LaRue and Her Boomer Revue, weekly rehearsals for that are one of the few things that will bring me into the city these days, other than a coffee date with you ;-) .

I’m really good at

taking things a day at a time.

The first things people usually notice about me

That I seem to know where I'm headed...! an alarming thought.

Navitas: She's honest and to the point with the right amount of tact. Let's not forget that sweet (or mischievous) smile of hers.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Many. If you haven't read Henry Mitchell's gardening columns compiled from the Washington Post, and you like gardens, you now have a recommendation. Other than that, my bathroom shelf is stocked with Mark Epstein, Roger Tory Peterson, Charles Darwin, Ogdred Weary, Edward S. Curtis, Claudia Hart, a perennials guide, a semiotics glossary, Thomas Merton and the "Yoga for Dummies" pocket edition.

Movies: Ang Lee just moved into Lana LaRue's building, I'm psyched.

Music: When I can get it. Singers & standards.

Food: Anything cooked for me by a friend except liver and onions.

The six things I could never do without

Things?

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What I could do without.

On a typical Friday night I am

traveling somewhere to see someone.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm poly as in polyamorous, as in a kind of spiderweb-shaped relational thing. Remember that poly is NOT a synonym for easy. You got to attract my interest first...

^TheNavitas was very kind to say this. Actually, I am easy. Demonstrably so, and just not with everyone and at all times.

You should message me if

you have something interesting to say and I haven't already blocked your abusive, pud-wanking, woman-hating, race-baiting, Glenn-Beck-spouting, trans-and-gay-bashing ass. But hey, other than that, I'm not political or anything. :-P And I do approve of occasional pud-wanking, but probably not with you as you read this. If you want a wank, it's a free site but don't bother me with it please.
