My favourite fridge magnet says "Have you ever noticed how 'What the heck' is always the right answer?" This approach sometimes gets me in trouble, but mostly makes for a very interesting life.
At the core, I'm an introvert, needing quiet time to re-energize and preferring a few meaningful close friendships to an active social life. I love deep discussions on interesting topics. My life is balanced between a good job in the healthcare sector where I use my brain and home on my farm where I do a lot of physical work.
The walls of my house are covered with original art, one of my few indulgences. I'm pretty frugal but buy from local artists when I see something that stirs my soul. My personal outlook on life is very positive although I get world-weary and fed up with humans as a species.
My farm on the outskirts of Ottawa reminds me about what is important in life and helps me to feel grounded and connected to the real world. I've traveled extensively, taught Physics in Africa, gone skydiving and ride an old motorcycle. My 14 year old daughter is a horse girl and a priority for my time, but I'd like to find someone to share in life's experiences and she is old enough to understand I need time for myself.
