I am ambitious, energetic, and compassionate.
My Self-Summary
I never know where to begin with these. Right now I am studying
both Psychology and Philosophy (with an Ethics concentration).
Outside of my academics, I am someone who enjoys a wide range of
activities -
theater,
canoeing,
ice skating,
dancing,
going to movies, and more. I
consider myself a very eclectic person and while I love it and the
friends I have gained because of it, it has also made it difficult
to find anyone who can put up with my random interests for
long.
I am a book and movie lover, though I have a problem with book to
movie productions. I could spend an evening reading a book and be
just as content and happy as spending a loud night out with
friends. I am someone who enjoys spontaneous road trips and
activities as well as relaxing days.
I'm a person who can enjoy all that is around me, but I continue to
strive to achieve whatever goals I have set for myself. I am driven
and love to learn about new ideas and topics. I admit often that if
I could afford it I would be a professional student for the rest of
my life, but I feel like I would get bored if I never worked. My
dream job is to be able to learn from everyday life and experience
and to incorporate that into my career.
In life I want a lot of 'simple' things, but they have not turned
out to be so simple. Friends, family and happiness are important to
me and while I would love to have a lot of things in life, as long
as I am comfortably set and have my friends around, I can be happy.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I am finishing up my Bachelor degree with a double major
in
Psychology
and
Philosophy.
I plan to work within the Behavioral Psychology field and am
working to gain experience before going into Graduate work in order
to gather which specialty I would prefer.
I’m really good at
Listening to people, writing, planning trips.
Some of my friends would say shopping, but I don't really agree :)
The first things people usually notice about me
Not sure, I'd have to ask them.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: I guess I should be honest - I'll read pretty much
anything...though I do have some favorites. Pride and Prejudice,
Lord of the Rings Trilogy (and anything else by Tolkien really),
The Secret Life of Bees, Crime and Punishment, Harry Potter (got
hooked when I was 13), as well as many others but there are a few
just to give you a taste.
Movies: I am a big fan of the classics (Gone With the Wind,
Casablanca, The Philadelphia Story, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, ect).
With modern movies, I have a wide range from romantic comedies to
action. The only genre I really don't like are horror films...I
blame it on a childhood full of nightmares from them :)
Music: Again...I'm all over the place. Right now I have a mixed
playlist that has everything from 3OH!3 to Sugarland to The Kooks
and The Pierces. I have a large amount of respect for any artists
who play their own instruments or write their own music, but what I
listen to all depends on the mood I am in. If I had to pick an all
time favorite singer from any era that I could listen to over and
over and never get tired of...well, that would be Frank
Sinatra.
Food: I'm always up to try anything once....though I am a bit
particular about onions and pineapple being in my food. My favorite
types of food are Italian and BBQ
The six things I could never do without
1-Family
Family is the most important thing in my life. I would do anything
for my family.
2-Friends
Without them I'm pretty sure I would go crazy.
3-Laughter
Non-material, I know, but life would be so boring without laughter
and the moments that bring it about.
4-My Car
With everyone so spread out these days, traveling is a large part
of my life, and driving is usually my method of travel.
5-My Computer
Even more than my phone, my computer keeps me connected to everyone
no matter our time zones. Also it is a lifesaver when it comes to
school.
6-My Books
No matter where I go, if I have a book with me I am good. I usually
have one with me at all times - either in my car or in my purse.
It's a great way to pass time and makes long trips fly by.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life and where it will take me. I also ponder odd questions and
theories.
On a typical Friday night I am
It depends on what Friday night. Some nights I'm out at a bar with
friends, some nights I'm curled up with a book, some I'm watching a
movie/tv show with a group of friends eating ice cream, and
sometimes I'm laying in bed cursing whoever had the brilliant idea
to have us go out on a Thursday when we all had to be up early the
next morning :)
You should message me if
You've made it through my entire profile and still haven't clicked
the little 'x' button to close the page...especially if we have
things in common :)
