My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in New Jersey and went to undergrad in Cambridge, MA where I thought I would be a doctor before I realized it wasn't for me and got caught up in this Web thing. I've since lived in Boston and New York City before coming out to the Bay Area after business school, and I love it out you could call me a born and bred East Coaster but a NorCal guy at heart...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working at a large Web company managing the best teams I've ever worked with and thinking of the next big idea to start my own thing...otherwise, running along the Marina, cycling, reading, or trying new things...I have a goal to try all forms of non-motorized locomotion (bobsledding, windsurfing, and hangliding are still on my list among others though I've crossed off luging, paragliding, sailing, and skydiving among others)...I enjoy being outdoors and active so summiting Mount Shasta, ziplining in Costa Rica, and participating in the SF Oyster Urban Adventure race were highlights this year...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sharing really random factoids...Also, shooting people with "lasers" in dark least I was the last time I went for a work offsite...and finally, eating...there is free food at work so I graze all day (thus the need to stay active)...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Everyone says smile because, frankly, the first thing people notice about anyone are the eyes and smile so that's no fun. Outside of that, people on my team say I have fierce/assertive hand gestures, but, fortunately, I haven't poked anyone's eye out yet.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'll read, watch, or listen to anything that presents a big new idea, inspires, or can make me laugh; I love to explore whether it's new music or food.

In no particular order: Techmeme, reddit, Predictably Irrational, Black Hawk Down, Sushi, Louis C.K., The Daily Show (though woefully behind on this front), Lewis Black, Steve Jobs, The Big Short, The Bourne Trilogy, The Shawshank Redemption, pasta in Italy, black cod with miso, Contact, Google News
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family and friends
Running/biking outside
the Web
World travel
Sushi (until I can think of something else)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make a dent in the universe.
How much we (as in all of us) don't understand how our minds actually work.
What food I haven't tried yet.
How much I would pay to go into space. (Answer: A lot)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've never gotten into a real fight (meaning a physical altercation) but am curious as to how I would fare...I did hurt someone's feelings once but that's about it
