My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I tend to believe that independently-owned coffee houses embody all that is good in the world: conversation, community, caffeine, and a sense that there is no where else in the world quite like where you are.

I try to find beauty in the subtle nuances of life and appreciate those that do the same.

I consider myself to be an empowered pessimist: the world is shitty and fucked up, but there are things that can be done to make it just a little bit better :)

Nothing brings me greater satisfaction than when someone believes that I was there to support them when no one else was.

Testimonials (lifted, with permission, from my past two breakups):
-"You are infinitely reasonable and unfailingly kind"
-"You have really been emotionally saintly both as friend and partner"
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently graduated with my degree in Sociology. For my first project as a quasi-grownup, I'm attempting to start a business- an online marketplace for social enterprise products and services Buy with Heart. If it weren't for trademark issues, I would name the business Amazon for Hippies (I do own the URL) :P

I'm in the process of applying to PhD programs in Clinical Psychology, with the aim of becoming a therapist.

My current self-betterment projects include a macro-economics course and pole dancing classes.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
my tall, lanky charm ;)

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I don't like the framing of this question as "things I could never do without," particularly because when I read it, my first response was "beer" and I'm not ready to think of beer as something that is necessary for my survival.

I will instead answer the question: Six things that really enhance my quality of life:
-Interesting interactions with strangers (some of these are good/pleasant interesting, some are engaging fascinating interesting, and some of these are WTF? interesting, but in their own special ways, I appreciate all of these types of interesting.
-Urban exploring: I love tours ranging from brewery tours to ghost tours to self-guided abandoned building tours.
-Friends: I have a lot of different kinds of friends. Friends that I adventure with, friends that I talk about serious feelings with, friends that I discuss academic/intellectual issues with, friends that I think are some of the most brilliant/extraordinary/passionate people in the world, friends that I think are kind of jerks.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-how to balance my skepticism of most social programs with my desire to make the world a better place.
-my next Facebook status. You don't generate a steady stream of puns for four years without a little blood, sweat, tears, and ridiculous experiences you had only to generate double entendres you could share on social media.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
with friends at a small party. I can enjoy the party atmosphere but generally prefer it in small doses and prefer to appreciate it with people that I know.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes, when my recycling bin is full, I throw my beer bottles in the trash.

I've also written two (unpublished) romance novels.
