Life is frickin' awesome.

I work out three times a week, smile at everything, and always see the upside and other side to everything.

Routine? Yes and no; I like to plan things out, but when I don't have longer-term plans I will make last minute decisions and stand by them! No regrets here!

I am empathetic to a fault, and always construct working stories of people's best intentions. I fervently believe in the inherent good in people and while some may fault me for my rose colored glasses I'd like to keep them as long as I can. Naïve? Perhaps. But I'd like to think that I always give everyone the opportunity to make me proud.

Life will always work out.

Note: I don't live in Oakland yet, but I'm in the process of buying a condo there. Exciting!

I'm a programmer by training, and a creative at heart.

Recently I've also been into outrigger canoeing... and just realized that that I'm on the path to becoming an actual bona fide athlete. Not something I thought I'd ever become...

Figuring out what needs to be done and doing it. This applies to everything, from my day job to hobbies to helping a friend out.

More specifically, I'm pretty awesome at cooking. I've learned to sew respectably, can do household repairs when needed, play bridge reasonably, and am fairly competent at the piano and violin.

I'm also really good at parsing information and reassembling it and analyzing it for different audiences. As a result, I'm also really good at selecting just the right words to use.

Oh yeah, and probably most importantly, I'm really really good at not freaking out.

That I'm Japanese.

The first thing I usually notice about other people is that they're wrong... about me being Japanese.
