My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I describe myself as a down-to-earth teddy bear looking to laugh and love my way along life's journey. Cliche, I know, but still very true. The rest of this page will give you a good peek into my life.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in Oakland for a great non-profit that offers a variety of mental health services for children, youth, and their families in Alameda & Contra Costa County. I am also just a few months away from graduating with my bachelor's! I can't wait.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am really good at making music, theater, making people laugh, having thoughtful discussions, listening, encouraging others, and organizing (events, files, schedules, etc).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am a big guy - no hiding it or denying....so normally people see me first as a tall, heavyset guy with a nice smile and hazel eyes and then quickly say, "Well, he is just a big teddy bear."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I would rename this category "A few of my favorite...."

Books: The Giver by Lois Lowry, The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey, The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman....and many more!

Movies: My current top five favorite movies of all time are: 1)The Kite Runner, 2)Mysterious Skin, 3)Beautiful Thing, 4)Steel Magnolias, and 5)Fried Green Tomatoes. The Social Network should definitely be added to this list, but I am just not sure where. Other honorable mentions include: Cloud Atlas, Gran Torino, Back to the Future Trilogy, Chronicles of Narnia, Jurassic Park, Latter Days, Big Eden, Mr. Holland's Opus, Sister Act (I & II), Gothika, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Letters to Juliet, and The Ring...just to name a few.

Music: I like most styles of music but more often than not I am listening to either 1)Electronica, 2)Melodramatic/Indie Folk, 3)80s. My Top 6 songs of all time are 1)I Wanna Dance with Somebody - Whitney Houston, 2)If You're Not the One - Daniel Bedingfield, 3)Boys of Summer - DJ Sammy, 4)Worthy is the Lamb - Hillsong, 5)The More I Seek You - Kari Jobe, 6)Make Your Own Kind Of Music - Mama Cass Elliot. Here is a brief list of artists that I enjoy (in no particular order): Kari Jobe, Chris Tomlin, Israel Houghton, Clint Brown, Hillsong, Celine Dion, DJ Tiesto, Deadmau5, Jay Brannan, Phil Collins, Lang Lang, Gary Valenciano, Selah, Jim Brickman, Besides Daniel, Nickel Creek, Bruno Mars, Savage Garden, Mama Cass, Diana Ross, and many more!

Television: I know it wasn't requested, but I wanted to mention this too. I don't watch that much TV, but I do love certain shows and catch them when I can. Reruns are great! Seinfeld, Fraiser, the Golden Girls, The Office, Family Guy, Modern Family, Law & Order: SVU, The Big Bang Theory, Top Chef, anything HGTV or Food Network. My current favorite shows are RuPaul's Drag Race and The Walking Dead!

Food: I love Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Mexican, Salvadorean, pizza, meat & potatoes, and anything chocolate and/or peanut butter.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1.My Phone - currently the LG G3
2. The Internet
3. Live theater
4. Hot showers
5. Access to a variety of cultures
6. A community of friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I am a huge planner by nature. So I am always thinking about how to make tomorrow meaningful and efficient. I also think about my future husband all the time. Not a day goes by that I don't say a prayer for him and ask for our paths cross soon.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Friday nights are great! I love to explore the city, try new restaurants, take in a show, window shop, take a walk, camp out in a bookstore or coffee shoppe and get caught up on some reading, see a movie, join a casual get-together with friends, or have an even quieter night at home with some take-out and my DVR or my great pal Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am not afraid to become vulnerable, open, and transparent with someone that I care about or want to pursue a relationship with.
