My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
As I swiftly move toward being an empty nester, I am contemplating what I really enjoy versus what I have time for. So far, I like walking and hiking in good weather. I enjoy supporting my public library. In the near future Habitat for Humanity and the Humane Society will get some volunteer hours from me. That should give you a good idea of what I value. Early retirement is a distinct possibility in just a few years, and I am excited to think about a whole new career for Act 2.

I can be an ENTJ or an ENFP (test results may be drastically affected by coffee intake). If that means anything to you, great! I am something along the lines of 5% of the population. So, I find myself frequently outside the viewpoint of Mainstream Midwesterners of Suburbia. My Act 2 will most likely be in a more liberal setting.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently, I work hard as a teacher (No! In Indiana that seems to be equated with felons!), and I still play mom to my teenager who lives with me full time. I take care of home and family, which sometimes is 24/7.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Responding politely to men who write me a thoughtful e-mail. Listening, sharing, dreaming. Simplifying the complicated. Visualizing new spaces. Baking carrot cake. Drinking coffee. Chewing the fat. Being snarky.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee.
I prefer my life caffeinated, hot, black. A morning nonfat latte is my liquid optimism.
That's one. Five to go.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The nature of sin and guilt in a post-modernistic society, and what the six, no, FIVE things are that I can't do without. ;-) Actually, I do think quite a bit about the online dating culture, particularly in my age range, identifying the rules of engagement (or lack thereof), discovering indicators in profiles, looking for patterns, enjoying the folly of being human.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Snuggling in the recliner with my dog and a good book. Cleaning the kitchen and watching a movie. Working on my rap album.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am inexplicably attracted to words with the letter "x."
