I think I'm a bit of a dichotomy, or trichotomy, if that's even a word. Actually, I think it is a word, but I digress. I don't think I easily fit into boxes.

On the one hand, I'm very responsible, honest and trustworthy. I'm usually good at things I set my mind to, but I also tend to back away from things I don't like, instead of moving towards actual goals. I guess I'm sort of like that kid who is always looking out the rear window on a family road trip. I like the fact that I don't know where life is taking me, but I also like knowing where I've been and why. I have a good sense of humor about things.

I'm not a flake. I'm never late and I always keep my promises. I have very strong opinions about everything from music to work to vacation destinations. I like to argue (not fight,) especially when being challenged on something I really believe. I'm confident, but I also like it when people prove I'm wrong. I love solving problems.

Evolving! Seriously though, it really is about the trip and not the destination. On the one hand, I'm a pretty responsible guy, but on the other, I'm not afraid to risk stability for a more fulfilling life. I studied art in college, so perhaps this is a mental defect I can't quite shake.

I can do all sorts of stuff. I'm a low maintenance traveler, for example. I can make a mean cocktail, or fix a computer, or even install a toilet! I'm a good conversationalist and am happy to discuss just about anything. You know... stuff.

I look/act/think young for my age. Seriously! :)

I like food. You know, staff of life and all that stuff. I don't like eggs, however. Also, I worked at Burger King when I was 16, so beef still mostly gives me the creeps. If I could only eat the food of one nation, for the rest of my life, it would have to be Japanese. Suki Desu!

I'm mainly a news reader, not a relaxation reader. NYTimes, blogs and other new outlets.

I know this sounds stupid, but I really only like good movies. Most movies (especially American films) are pretty dumb. I don't mind that on occasion, but a good drama, foreign film or documentary is going to be much more interesting to me than some cookie-cutter comedy.

Music is super important. I probably have my headphones on 6 hours a day and try to jerp up on what all the cool kids are listening to. Anyway, looking quickly at my iPhone, I can tell you that bands/artists such as Actress, Atlas Sound, Andy Scott, Bat for Lashes, Beach House, Black Angels, Bon Iver, Burial, Crystal Castles, Cults, Cut Copy, Death Grips, Destroyer, DIIV, EMA, Emika, Empire of the Sun, Fever Ray, Four Tet, Frank Ocean, Gil Scott-Herron, Grimes, The Horrors, Hot Chip, James Blake, Janes Addiction, Ladytron, Little Dragon, Love Inks, M83, My Bloody Valentine, Neon Indian, Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Portishead, The Shins, Siouxsi and the Banshees, the Stooges, Tame Impala, Trust, Ty Segall Band, Velvet Underground, Violent Femmes, Washed Out, The Weeknd, Wild Nothing, XX are what I'm listening to at the moment.

Also, NPR (KUOW, KPLU) and KEXP. No commercial radio, except on road-trips.

Faster-than-light-space-travel. Yeah, I said it! At least I didn't say video games or porn. They're cool too, but come on people, let's aim for the stars!

Leaving work early. Oh wait a second.... Technically, that's the afternoon. I guess my typical Friday night is mainly about me feeling really smug about cutting out of work early (while having a drink.)

Once I'm talking with somebody, I'll tell them pretty much anything other that the PIN for my ATM card. That shit is sacred.

I'm mostly a city boy. I like going out for dinner/drinks/shows. I love mountains... as scenic backdrops. Standing on top of one is a totally different story. I do, however own a Subaru, so I'm cool with most dirt. I also have a very smart dog with anxiety issue. Kinda like Woody Allen with a tail.

If you kinda get my sense of humor, love urban life, music, design and culture, think of yourself as being fairly sharp (physically, mentally, socially, etc) then let's chat. Apparently, an appreciation of run-on sentences is also a plus!
