My self-summary
For the past eight years, I have been playing out my teenage dream of living in Atlanta (I am a native of South Carolina and I ended up here via North Carolina). Every day is a new opportunity to see performances, attend sporting events, hear lectures, dine in award-winning restaurants, and enjoy so many of the other things this great city has to offer. Socially, I surround myself with people who are kind, smart, witty, charitable, and not afraid to let loose every once in a while. I am seeking a mate who also has these qualities. As a musician and music educator, I have been fortunate to have a career that evolved from and is shaped by a lifelong hobby. My potential mate does not have to share that same passion, but only needs to be open to sharing and exploring as I am willing to do the same.
I’m really good at
Trivia. And badminton.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
It's always so tough nailing down favorites because I have so many! I generally watch obscure or indie movies. Music happens to be my career and my hobby so I am very proud of the fact that my musical tastes are very eclectic. That being said, Radiohead is my all-time favorite band. However, I enjoy attending music concerts of most genres. I am a novice foodie, and I love to try all types of cuisine. As for books (when I am not reading music education books and journals), my friends and I are constantly exchanging good fiction and non-fiction reads. I just started "the curious incident of the dog in the night-time" by M. Haddon. I don't watch much TV, but I enjoy listening to podcasts such as NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me!" and Aisha Tyler's "Girl on Guy."
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Shh! I'm thinking about it.
On a typical Friday night I am
usually doing something really low-key and relaxing like enjoying a nice dinner out, then coming home to snuggle on the couch with my pup while enjoying a glass of wine and reading a book. I typically reserve Saturday nights for going out on the town :-)
