I am hard-working, loyal, and down-to-earth.
My Self-Summary
Hello. My daughter told me about this site, and since I am one to
never leave stones unturned....here I am. I am 53, proud of it,
mother of two great adult kids, professional, and I consider myself
"normal". After marriage ended, some years ago, I remained a little
secluded, but have slowly enjoyed being social and having more
recreational time for myself. I love my dogs, horses, and doing
family things. Home is a sanctuary, and mine is that for me. I live
modestly and am very patriotic. I think good friends, good company,
and good times are among the best things in life. Oh, yeah, and I
am completely out of good jokes. : )
What I’m doing with my life
For the meantime, I fill my time with jobs, hobbies (which involves
going to the barn where I board horses), and tending to my home.
Free time is spent on whatever I choose.....I am looking at the
last years of career, and that feels good.
I’m really good at
Well....I dislike talking about myself when I don't know the person
to whom I'm speaking....what I think I'm good at may not be what
they think. I can only share what accomplishments I've managed: I
have gladly paid for college for one kid, and a wedding for the
other, by myself... I budget well. I strive to be the "anchor" to
my kids, have maintained their home over the years, have and will
"always be there"....I think I'm reliable, loving, and responsible.
Uhh....I think this is starting to sound boring, so I'll
stop....hehehe
The first things people usually notice about me
I think they notice right off, that I have lots of energy and
stamina.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
books: anything that James Herriot wrote
movies: Hunt for Red October
music: a weird assortment; I've always enjoyed STING, Collective
Soul
food: great variety: home-cooked, Chinese, Italian, restaurants
with good ambience, and wine-tasting/beer-tasting
The six things I could never do without
1. family/friends/love
2. barn/horses/my dogs - things that connect me to the
outdoors
3. a home - roots
4. cell phone
5. good coffee
6. my belief that real love does exist...some of us must look
longer and harder to find it
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I dote on all members of my family, and what they are
doing/feeling. This helps me be part of their lives, and find ways
to help them and let them know I care and love them. I imagine
myself living more rurally (I'm in suburbs for now) and having a
cabin or cottage with only grass and trees as neighbors. I think a
little about our country and what the devil is going on.....what's
happened to honor, integrity, and careful living. And, rarely, it
occurs to me that my ex must be going through "issues" for cutting
off relations with his two fantastic kids...
On a typical Friday night I am
I might be eating out. I may be having a semi-gourmet meal at
home...with a special tv show or ppv show I plan to watch. I cook
as a form of entertainment, usually with my daughters.
Periodically, family does their birthday "meet to eat" deals.....to
celebrate.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am a tomboy.
You should message me if
...you would like to say "hi".
