I am originally from the Baltimore area, currently living in DC
after college in Philly and law school in North Carolina. I am
passionate about food. I am always eager to experiment and try out
new things (part of the adventure;-). I love to travel. My last
cruise to Bermuda was awesome, and I am very excited for my next
trip to Alaska. I also hope to go back to Israel soon and immerse
myself in the rich culture.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated from law school a couple years ago. I now work at the
Department of Labor.
Outside of work, I love to get out and explore the many restaurants
and bars in D.C. Can't beat the nightlife!
I’m really good at
I am a really good listener and I've been told that I give good
advice...though I don't actually follow it. I really enjoy a good
conversation and am always open to exploring both sides of an
The first things people usually notice about me
My sparkling sense of humor. Whether I'm on a date, in a classroom,
or even the dentist's office, ( make someone laugh out loud. I made
my 70-year-old rabbi laugh during my Bar Mitzvah. True Story. You
should hear the joke I told during my bris!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: ( can watch anything, from a classic to a shoot-em-up
action flick to, yes, a chi, uh, romantic comedy :). Forrest Gump,
Gladiator, Rocky,The Big Lebowski, Lethal Weapon, Old School,
Wedding Crashers, National Lampoon's Animal House, Beverly Hills
Cop, Titanic, Disney, The Lion King, Anchorman, Blood Diamond, The
Departed, Wet Hot American Summer, The Dark Knight, Superbad, Top
Gun, Pretty Woman, Casablanca, and more.
Books: Because I read so much for school, I am a fan of fun quick
thrillers for pleasure reading (Balbacci, DeMille, Grisham).Having
said that I am open to anything, Any good suggestions?
Music; I enjoy pretty much anything. Not a big fan of rap. I
somehow missed that phase in the 90s.
Food:Anything. Put it in front of me and it'll be gone.
The six things I could never do without
Pretzels (I always seem to be eating them)
My iPhone (how did I ever live without It?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think to myself what would I be doing right now if I were not in
law school. I do not regret going to law school. I just like to
ponder what other directions would have interested me enough to
I also think of jokes my non-law friends make about lawyers and
conceive witty retorts.
On a typical Friday night I am
at the gym after work, then meet my friends for dinner and
I also try to go to Shabbat services every once in a while. I like
to at least pretend I'm a good Jew...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
While I often use humor, and often sarcasm, as a defense mechanism,
I really am sensitive to other people's feelings, and do care about
the happiness of those around me.
Oh and I cried during Titanic. :(
