I am compassionate, thoughtful, and romantic.

My Self-Summary

I think it's funny that most soy products come in non-recyclable Tetra Packs, while the rest of us heathens out there who drink milk and eat beef recycle easily enough...
I consider myself eccentric. I'm a writer by trade, and a reader by love. I'm a hopeless romantic, fighting society's willful quest to engender within me jaded traits. I like to dance and ponder life's greatest mysteries, like how much of the world's water is encapsulated in snow globes, or how much wood a woodchuck could chuck if it possessed the improved chucking feat. I was a communications computer-systems controller in the U.S. Air Force, now I'm a journalism major that just got my Associate's Degree and am accepted for fall term at UO. I have a lot of unusual hobbies. I consider myself a top notch zombie-hunter.

My Dream Match:
Maybe these standards are too high. But I want someone who's intelligent. Well read. She would be independent and strong, but also romantic and soft. She'd be emotionally stable and know what she wants. She'd be silly and weird and unafraid to laugh. She'd be romantic, honest, and like Sci-Fi. Down to earth would be a plus.

I guess I'm just looking for that ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of the night.

Self-summarized in about 197 brilliant words.

What I’m doing with my life

My ultimate life's goal is to finish out both of my majors at UO (English/Journalism) and become a college-level instructor or newspaper editor somewhere. I've known this since I was very young, because my teachers were indubitably my biggest heroes. Sufficing that, I'd say it'd be nice to get a small cottage in the country and have a golden retriever? You know, white picket fence, Black El Dorado, Pink Flamingos in the yard to ward off the neighbors. Someday, but not today.

I’m really good at

-Computers
-Listening
-Shooting Zombies in the face
-Eating cake
-Watching crime dramas
-rolling around in pudding
-Being contradictory
-Being the Devil's Advocate
-Dancing

The first things people usually notice about me

My height or my teeth. I've been told they're both equally nice. I don't spend a lot of time looking in the mirror. Everyone loves a Communist, except that I'm not one. So that's probably why not everyone loves me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: well, authors, how about that? Whitman, Gibson, Ginsberg, Dickinson, Faulkner, e.e. cummings, Steinbeck, Emerson, Thoreau, Fuller, Tolstoy, Timothy Zhan. Any Star Wars, Star Trek, Forgotten Realms, or historical fiction. I also love fan-fiction found strewn about the internet like blossoms after the spring; they breathe while mildly decaying in obscurity. I adore history books! You can never have too many arcane tomes lying around. I live in a pile of books.

Movies: Saving Private Ryan, Shakespeare Adaptations like Hamlet with Mel Gibson and Much Ado About nothing with Kenneth Branagh. I also really liked Notting Hill. :P I'm not the biggest movie watcher. \

Music: Mudhoney, Screaming Trees, L7, 7 Year Bitch, Alice in Chains, Blood Circus, Green River, Gruntruck, Hammerbox, Love Battery, Mad Season, Malfunkshun, Mother Love Bone, My Sister's Machine, Skin Yard, Tad, Temple of the Dog, The U-Men, The Melvins, Mono Men, Babes in Toyland, Pond, The Fluid, The Nymphs, Paw, Stone Temple Pilots, The Nixons, Dinosaur Jr., The Toadies, The Star Spangles, Raddish, Blind Melon, and now for the music you've actually heard of: Green Day (before 1997), Nirvana, NoFX, The Smashing Pumpkins, Silverchair, Ugly Kid Joe, Cheap Trick, Led Zeppelin, Cinderella, Bush, Van Halen, Soundgarden, Tsunami Bomb, Tilt, Lagwagon, The Gin Blossoms, A New Found/Glory, Something Corporate, Live, Candlebox, Sponge, Weezer, No Use For a Name, Sublime, The Misfits, Screaching Weasel, The Queers, They Might Be Giants, Fenix TX, John Cougar Mellencamp, The Foo Fighters, Beck, Jeremy Soule, Bad Religion, Wheatus, Eve6, The Offspring, Letters to Cleo, Garbage, Save Ferris, Everclear, Spacehog, Lit, Bliss, The Presidents of the United States of America, Jewel, The Eagles, Strung Out, Cake, The Cardigans, Aerosmith, No Doubt, The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Sweetbox, The Donnas, Minor Threat, Social Distortion, Violent Femmes, The Beatles, Bif Naked, Elvis Presley, Homegrown, The Reel Big Fish, Spin Doctors, Guitar Vader, The Dropkick Murphys, Godsmack, Van Morrison, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday, The Pixies, Gorillaz, The Dead Kennedys, The Murder City Devils, Oasis, Radiohead, Three Days Grace, 3 Doors Down, Saliva, The Starting Line, Queen, Deftones, The Propellerheads, Depeche Mode, Bikini Kill, Dwarves, GG Allin, Girl in a Coma, Manda and the Marbles, Snapper, Life Without Buildings, The Adolescents, The Mr. T Experience, The Soviettes, The Rancid Rancor Trio, ...and a bunch of others that escape me at this particular moment. ^_^

Food: Fettucinni Alfredo and anything curry. The spicier the food the better? I adore microbrews, the darker the better. I usually won't drink anything that is lighter than a porter or brown ale. Deschuttes Brewery and Black Butte Porter are goddess-like in nature. Rythmn, you have it or you don't, that's a fallacy say the Gorillaz.

The six things I could never do without

1. Coffee. 2. Something to write on (bar napkins, etc). 3. Computer/Internet. 4. My Scottish Terrier Puppy named Scottie! 5. My truck! 6. The people in my life. Awww. J/K. Isn't that quaintly stereotypical, you were waiting for it, weren't you, then? I probably couldn't live without microwaveable food or pop-tarts.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I think about history, I think a lot about how we can learn from it. I think about transcendentalists and what they've written or what they meant to themselves. Dickinson poems stick in my head because of her rhyme schemes and excellent rhythm, she was very musical for a hermit. I introspect a lot, I'm always learning, growing, and changing, and sometimes it's just good to look at yourself, and be honest, who are you really? Who do you want to be? The answer is always the same: I am a biscuit! Hear me roar!

On a typical Friday night I am

Dancing because it makes me feel so free and expressive, sometimes I go out to the bars, but I get intimidated by the crowds of drunken people. It seems like everyday I make a new friend somewhere. Sometimes I can be caught diligently doing my homework and studying.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

You can always ask. I don't feel like bleeding for the world today.
