I am spontaneous, passionate, and contradictive.
My Self-Summary
I think it's funny that most soy products come in non-recyclable
Tetra Packs, while the rest of us heathens out there who drink milk
recycle easily enough...
I essentially go through my day hunting irony and then rolling
around in it.
I'm unpredictable to the point that it's predictable that I won't
do whatever it is you think I will.
I will however always do what is best for the current scenario,
considering all things.
I love solving problems, making snap decisions on the fly, and
getting the job done right the first time. Those are core to who I
am and make me feel good. I never hesitate.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working on my second degree at UO, I have a great job that I
love in the journalism field. I'm ex-military. I've worked hard to
be where I am, to achieve what I have, and to continue achieving my
dreams.
I’m really good at
-
Computers
-
Writing
-
Listening
-Watching
crime
dramas
-Being
contradictory
-
Dancing
-Wondering why there's not a "I'm really bad at..." section.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well, I always make sure my hair's done up. I'm also tall.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Who has time to read as a journalist? If by some stroke of
fate between my studies and my constant research for the newspaper
I work for I have time to read, it's generally a history
book.
Movies: Saving Private Ryan, Notting Hill, The Patriot, The Longest
Day, GalaxyQuest, all 10 Star Trek Movies (there was NEVER an
11th), Aliens. Mostly war dramas and sci-fi/fantasy. I'm not the
biggest movie watcher.
Music: I don't listen to much music anymore. But I like 50s rock
and roll, Grunge, 60s classic rock, 80s hair metal, Punk, and oddly
enough Lady Gaga. But mostly just the rock. My two favorite bands
are the Misfits and old Green Day (I can't get on board their new
emo train).
Food: Fettucinni Alfredo and anything curry. The spicier the food
the better! I always ask for more green chilis. I adore microbrews,
the darker the better.
Deschuttes Brewery and
Black
Butte Porter are my favorites!
The six things I could never do without
1.
Coffee. 2.
Computers 3.
Time to think 4.
Sleep 5. My experience(and history) 6. The
time I've spent becoming who I am.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Thinking about myself, thinking about how I should be thinking. I
tend to introspect a lot. Irony, as mentioned above, as a form of
comedy. I'm a great lover of war history, as well as the history of
invention. I spend a lot of time thinking about how history can
still be relevant to our current society. I think that I need to
relax and force myself to more and more, it seems to have a direct
correlation to my happiness. Grammar. I like to take a step back
and just look at things in the greater context: It almost always
makes me smile. I think a lot about being open and letting my
desires and passions out. I think it's made me a happier person.
On a typical Friday night I am
Lately...that's my Dungeons and Dragons night. Though I work so
hard all week I just like to sleep or catch up on my crime dramas:
Bones and Criminal Minds!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I don't open up for a very long time, my secrets are my own. Trust
is earned, never given.
You should message me if
I'm looking for someone who has their shit together, to put it
succinctly. If you don't, that's not to say we couldn't be friends.
But if I'm to engage in a relationship and expose myself
emotionally and physically, I should want it to be with someone who
has a stable life. Someone you can build a repertoire of trust
with. I have been the rock one too many times.
-You should not message me if:
-You refer to yourself in the third person.
-You're advertising your body half-naked as a way of attracting
mates as opposed to your personality.
-Your interests include and are limited to "mudding" and "hanging
with my friends"
-You think perhaps you aren't boring and have a sense of humor and
can handle some crazy conversation.
