My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a creative-minded professional who is seeking someone who is serious about getting to know someone. If you're a maze, let me try to map you. I'm a people-person (it is a huge component of my career) so meeting people is exciting for me. I'm looking for someone who is attractive, but not necessarily in a barbie way. Intelligence is attractive to me. Mysteriousness is attractive.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I currently work for a marketing company in Bloomington (well, really two companies with the same owner--the other is an advertising agency) in Human Resources. The best part of my job is that I'm able to interact with a diverse group of professionals on a vast array of levels (recruitment to benefits to general employee relations).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'd say my biggest strengths lie in my ability to communicate and relate with people from a wide range of backgrounds. I graduated with a degree in English Creative Writing, so I continue to write in my spare time and read a lot. My dream is to one day make some money from my writing. I also write music (play guitar and sing). Hear me at ;)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is tough. I guess the first thing people notice about me is that I'm easy to talk to. People are very quick to trust me. I'm very honest and open about myself and, I guess, as a result people tend to open up to me quickly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm big on Richard Matheson right now. I also just finished a Joe Hill book. I watch a lot of suspense/thriller movies--it's a genre I've lived in for quite some time. The list of favorites is too long. I enjoy going to ballets and plays, as well as electronic music shows (saw Adventure Club not too long ago--really want to see Krewella or Skrillex). I listen to all types of music (yes, country! and even classical when I'm feeling inspired).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My iPad and internet. I'm constantly staying current on news and learning. It was a great investment.
Libraries. I love finding new things to read or watch. The free aspect is amazing!
Coffee Shops (especially ones with live music). I am a coffee fanatic and love music.
AMC. I don't know what I'd do without Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead. Just started watching Bates Motel on A&E--so good!
Game of Thrones
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Business ideas. Story ideas and characters. What makes people act how they act. How to gain knowledge and grow as a person.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Most Fridays you can find me on the couch reading or watching a movie. If I'm out, I'm having dinner downtown or having drink or two with a friend or writing/reading at a coffee shop.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't like to sit still. I'm happiest when I'm being spontaneous and doing something.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You should message me if you aren't afraid to meet a decent guy who is intelligent and honest. Sounds complicated and scary right? If you're looking for witty, intelligent conversation then message me. I don't mind making friends! I will say, though, that I've found it ridiculously hard to meet someone online who isn't just interested in getting attention from hundreds of guys. I'm good at giving attention, but I'm also interested in more than just a pretty face.

Don't take it personal if I don't message back. If you send a one-line introduction, I most likely wont respond. Don't be shy though...if something about me interests you, let me know!
