My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Kind, caring, passionate, sensual, happy and fulfilled...but oh so aware there is more. Looking to bring passion, pure joy and laughter into the everyday. Doesn't matter what we are doing.

Part sophisticated, part sweat pants and boots, part eclectic. Just me...looking for you.

And striving for elegance always - yes, on the outside, but more importantly, on the inside. I also like to think sweat pants are elegant, and sexy.

Recently (Dec 2013) single (for real, the nice and friendly kind) and embracing life with my kids (young/little) half time, just me the other half. Striving to be ever present for them, but also enjoying some free time, and getting back to other things I love. Like running (fast around a track...not long distance, thank you), biking (ride with me?), reading all the books I can't seem to stop buying, and hopefully some new creative stuff, like photography...or I'll just keep enjoying other people's.

I guess that's all. Just a girl, looking for a guy, to connect with and enjoy one another's company, and ultimately see if maybe we have that special something together...undeniable spark, but we are completely at ease, completely content. Blissfully content :) You let me stare at you all day if I want to ;)

And maybe we even talk on the phone (yep, so old school, I know)...and don't want to hang up.

Oh, although I cannot travel half way around the world for weeks at a time, short trips to new places would be awesome. I also love road trips, to anywhere. Just let's stop for coffee first.

I also love how it's okay to write sentence fragments these days, ha
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Well, currently I am reading all of your pretty darn well written essays! Seriously, very impressive...I especially love the charming humor and wit along with a passion for life. I am also making a note of all the books I need to read :) Otherwise, truly just embracing the newfound clarity I have about what is most important in life...simple happiness, laughter, living in the moment.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Caring and kindness, kissing bruised knees and bumped foreheads, editing anything I write at least 100 times (so check back often, ha), complimenting (you).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think I would prefer if you tell me...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: I love childhood memoirs. Angela's Ashes, and Glass Castle are my all time favorites. Otherwise, a variety of fictional books with a good historic backdrop. And, just finished Paul Auster's Winter Journal, perhaps the most brilliant writing I have ever come across. I guess he's my new favorite.

TV: About a Boy, Modern Family, Glee. I obviously need to check out all the new hot shows I keep reading about. (Update: hooked on Breaking Bad now, thanks for the tip!) Oh, and I guess I should add football, my Steelers, and baseball...and the PGA's four majors (yep, glued for days).

Movies: Just finally saw Love Actually. Didn't want it to end. Now I'm on a quest for similar movies, or any movie starring Hugh Grant.

Music: Singer songwriters...Ed Sheeran, Jason Mraz (yeah, just a little crush), Mat Kearney, James Bay, James Morrison, Sara Bareilles, O.A.R., All-American Rejects, The Script, OneRepublic, Eminem, Josh Groban. And going back a bit...The Allman Brothers, Elton John, Bad Company, Paul Rodgers, Jethro Tull, Tesla. Musicals...Wicked!

Food: Pasta, Thai, spice. French toast covered in powdered sugar
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Awesome coffee, awesome music, awesome kids and their kisses, laughter.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Family, kids, friends...

The children's book I hope to write someday.

Why I've had the worst luck here imaginable. Why I keep coming back for more. Ha
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not so private, but I do have a thing for hats, especially if worn well ;)
