My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I believe anything worth doing is worth doing fully. No matter what happens in life there is something to learn from it and a positive perspective to be gained. Learning is a passion of mine and I am always reading books, blogs or articles and striking up conversations with people to expand my knowledge and understanding of other cultures. Along the way I have been blessed with the opportunities to spend time in Israel and trek in the Himalayas of Nepal.

Two of my favorite quotes are:
"Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair." ~ Khalil Gibran

"The universe is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper." ~ Eden Phillpotts

Most of the year I play league soccer weekly. Other things I like to do include whitewater rafting, camping, snowboarding, snowmobiling, hiking, board games, listening to live music and spending time with friends. I would like to get back into playing tennis and indoor rock climbing.

I am down-to-earth, fun-loving, and intelligent.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Taking each day as it comes, doing my best to make the most of the moments I have and enjoying those around me while they are here. After more than 15 years working in high-tech and non-profit organizations, I have gone back to college with the goal of becoming a Special Education teacher. Along the way I am spending as much time socializing with friends as possible and playing soccer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- soccer
- remembering lyrics to songs
- getting somewhere without GPS
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile, my rear and my eyes...not necessarily in this order.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Movies (in no particular order): Cinema Paradiso, Roman Holiday, Some Kind of Wonderful, Say Anything, An American President, Salt, How to Lose a Guy in 10 days, most of the Indiana Jones flicks, Inception and all of the movies in the Bourne trilogy, Argo, Silver Linings Playbook. Generally I like movies that make you think or I can identify with in some way. When I was younger I used to daydream about growing up to be a female version of Indiana Jones.

TV Shows: Scandal, Revenge, Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, Castle, Mythbusters

- Finding Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
- The Spirt Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman
- Rebecca by Daphne duMaurier

Food: Middle Eastern, Mexican, some Japanese, savory dishes, good homestyle cooking and all kinds of desserts

Music: All over the music, R&B, pop, blues, EDM, 80's, jazz. Some artists/bands I like include Muse, Rob Thomas, Pink, Mark Broussard, Maroon 5, Train, Shakira, Bon Jovi, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Erasure, Michael Franti, 30 Seconds to Mars, Mumford & Sons, FUN and many more.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My journal
2) My camera
3) Music to be heard and move to
4) Physical affection
5) Optimism and a positive outlook
6) Water
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- Why people do the things they do
- How businesses in different industries run from an operations perspective
- Travel destinations, especially Costa Rica
- Things I want to accomplish in my life
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
thinking about what I will be doing during the upcoming weekend or sleeping as I recover from a busy week
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once got pulled up from the audience to dance on stage with the characters from Sesame Street.
