When I can, I like to get outdoors - run, hike, rock climb, scuba, swim, kayak.

I'd like to think of myself as a generally happy, optimistic person. I'm not always that way, but that's life.

I have a lot of really great friends and family. While I love spending time with them, I can be a bit of a loner sometimes. I think life is generally best enjoyed with company but I have always been content being on my own. This has led to a lot of solo travel (and solo travel has led to meeting a lot of new and interesting people).

My politics tend to be fairly left leaning, but I try to keep an open mind. Glen Beck, Sarah Palin, and the Tea Party frustrate me to no end. As do most people who are unwilling to listen to or even acknowledge political views that are contrary to their own.

As is apparently the case with most people in the Bay Area (or, at least, most people on OKC), I love to travel. Recent destinations include Baja, Israel, Belize, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Peru.

I joined OKC to meet interesting people and find a relationship. I hope that I can find someone who I can consider a friend and then move on from there.

Recovering from various sports injuries, traveling the world, currently clerking for a federal judge - the best job I have ever had.

Sleeping and running. At least that used to be the case. Now I'm just really good at sleeping.

My ripped torso? My stunning derriere? My receding hair line? I'm actually still waiting for feedback in those areas. Though some people have commented on my eyes. One of these days, I'd really like to hear something about my razor sharp wit.

Hopefully, my pictures are somewhat representative. I think the climbing shot is a bit outdated, but I think it looks really cool.

Anything written by Vonnegut and almost anything directed by Wes Anderson. Favorite TV shows include Mad Men and Friday Night Lights. Favorite bands - The Shins, The Rolling Stones, and believe it or not, 10,000 Maniacs. Favorite food is hummus.

I'm assuming this question is asking for things other than necessities (shelter, food, water, etc.). So I'll just make a list of some random things that have just come to mind (read into this what you will):

(1) Hummus
(2) An occasional feeling of inner peace
(3) Exercise
(4) A good night sleep
(5) Human contact
(6) A sense of right and wrong

How some boxes are better left blank.

Going out to dinner with friends. Going to a movie. Consuming a reasonable amount of alcohol. Not doing laundry.
