My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So here's what I'm thinking - we should go grab dinner and some drank, get to know each other, and have some great conversation - it might be fun and we'll want to see each other again. If we're attracted to one another we'll find our way into bed and have sexy times (hopefully the really hot variety), if it's fun we'll probably want to do that again too. That's the baseline of my expectations, I want to find somebody to connect with socially and sexually. If something happens beyond that, and we find ourselves falling madly in love with one another or something else on the relationship spectrum then more power to us and let's bust out the champagne.

Here's what I think is hot - brains, courage, empathy, embracing your sexuality, pursuing your passions, and a solid fuck-it attitude.

I think my defining personality trait is irreverence. There are so many things that people hold as sacred: ideas, beliefs, social normal, systems of authority, etc..., why does anybody think that this shit matters? Once you dump all that stuff you get to define you own rules and pursue your own path - I think that sounds awesome - don't you?

I'm a city man through and through. I love being able to walk to a coffee shop, the market, the bookstore, the bar - basically all the things. Living in the city means that I don't have to bend my moods and schedule to some silently acquiesced to suburban or rural routine; the city caters to my erratic hours and changing interests without fail. More than anything else the city means people, a lot of interesting people - it's brain candy.

I think food is delicious and I want more of it. Much more. If you're not eating Arabic food on the regular then you should fix that - I know that of which I speak cause I'm Palestinian. On a related note, I am Palestinian and if you need somebody to unravel the mysteries of the Middle East conflict I'd be more than happy to answer all your questions for you - it doesn't even need to end in a sex party.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a company that makes electronicals. A bunch of the time I'm running around convincing people of the genius of my company and trying to charm them into giving me money. The rest of the time I'm squeezing my brain to get the genius out. This company, and making it succeed, is a big focus in my life right now.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making impulsive decisions about major shit in my life. I don't like to wade slowly into the cold water, I just jump right in. I enjoy dealing with the chaos that ensues.

I'm also quite good at creating and maintaining awkwardness in my interactions with strangers. It's the talent I'm most proud of.
The first things people usually notice about me

I love books. I can spend hours in bookstores (Elliot Bay and Half-price books are regular hangout locations for me). I read a lot of non-fiction, mostly science (evolution, neurology and physics are faves), politics and current affairs (leftist/radical thought, middle east affairs and foreign policy). My fiction repertoire is more limited, I like scifi (Neal Stephenson and China Mieville) and historical fantasy. While I have loved dozens of books over my life there are three books that I've several times - Howard Zinn's You Can't be Neutral on a Moving Train, Richard Dawkin's The Selfish Gene and Mourid Barghouti's I Saw Ramallah.

Movies: The Departed, Office Space, Gladiator, The Matrix, Fight Club, Tropic Thunder, Superbad, Scarface, The Godfather, hard-hitting drama, fast-paced action/adventure, cheesy martial arts movie, crazy science fiction, thought provoking documentaries. Movies are truly a magnificent art.

Music: Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Blue Scholars, Ice Cube, Jay-Z, The Coup, Common Market, Mariah Carey, Keith Sweat, Boyz II Men, R. Kelly, Diana Krall, Madeline Peyroux, Nina Simone, Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine. So everything from sappy 90's R&B, hip hop, rap, jazz, blues, and the list goes on and on.

Food: everything and I mean EVERYTHING: My mom's Arabic food (which I'm slowly learning to make on my own), Indian, Thai, Sushi, Chinese, Mexican, Persian, Afghani, Burgers, Greek, PIZZA, anything covered in chocolate, anything breaded and deep fried, cookies, Molly Moon's ice cream, OH MY GOD, I think I'm going to have an brain aneurism just thinking about this stuff.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family, Friends, Music, Books, Chocolate.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make the world a better place - I have a pretty good plan.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Kickin' it with my peeps, doing this and that, going hither and thither.
