My self-summary
Easy going, love to read, INFJ according to Meyer-Briggs Personality Assessment & Kiersey temperament sorter. Fond of dancing, but no partner so I don't do so. Certificate in Hypnotherapy, BA in philosophy, some work towards M.Ed. I am fond of Business Networking and real estate investment., member of B.N.I. Handy around the house (light electrical, carpentry and plumbing). I like to cook.
Anything else you may be curious about? just ask me. I'd love to write the great american novel someday soon. Eclectic interests, such as eastern philosophy, chess, shamanism, Jungian psychology, history of private lives, Early Rome and more. PS early retirement so it seems too much free time on my hands.
What I’m doing with my life
At this time, for the most part, I am working on self improvement, of the body and mind. Before I can be good for someone special, I have to be good for myself (and to myself). But I'm about 90% there! I am in a somewhat enviable position. I live off passive income and have taken early retirement, so for the most part, my time is my own. I am not tied to the area and can relocate and plan to do so, but do not do so now as no wish to make a sideways move. I am looking into a bit more warmer clime I also have unlimited flight miles :) so am spending time visiting places. Hopefully meet some kindred souls too. Maybe someone special :)
I’m really good at
Listening and some other things I won't go into here.
The first things people usually notice about me
eyes. They are the windows to the soul, after all.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Don't watch much TV, prefer NPR. Enjoy fiction that is involved, like J. Grisham, Tom Clancy, and others. Favorite book is I Ching the Richard Wilhelm Edition.
Favorite music includes Black Keys, early Beatles, Cream, Diana Krull, Fat Boy Slim, Benny Goodman,Gershwin, 50's Motown, Tears for Fears, Peter Gabriel, INXS, Sade and others. Not so much into rap or free form jazz. Love da blues and some country music is funny. Music, movies, shows, food and books do not determine compatibility. :)
Favorite foods include Chinese done wok style, with plenty of veggies. Also Thai, but I'm not one for tofu.
I like the old Classic "Death takes a Holiday", B & W. It was remade as "Meet Joe Black" with Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins. Another favorite is "Heaven can Wait", the 1943 version. The gentleman who played the angel in the later version (with Warren Beatty, not Chris Rock) was the main character in the 1943 version, namely James Mason, one of my favorites.
I'm sure there's more along the lines of shows, venues, etc. but nothing comes to mind right now. But who can forget "It's a Wonderful Life"? Well our tastes and favorites can give us an insight into one another, but certainly do not define us.
The six things I could never do without
oh I don't know....friends, family, food, water, oxygen, and perhaps a copy of the I Ching Edition by Richard Wilhelm. Or if not that book, a tool box may come in handy, loaded with tools. Hmm they said "things" not people. How about love, integrity, companionship, ....wait a minute...all you need is love. :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
too many naughty things! An idle mind is the devil's workshop, so they say. :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Taking it easy . :) That could mean movies, dinner out, attending a concert, get-together, or otherwise just winding down.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You'll have to pry it out of me.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 42–64
  • Located anywhere
  • Who are single

You should message me if
If you'd like to learn more, do write. If the notion of a slightly eccentric, metaphysical but practical man appeals to you, do write. If you want someone who is empathetic, sincere and loving, do write. And write if you are also caring, affectionate and giving. I'm not so hung up on distance and could and would relocate, given the right circumstances. Yes, I can support myself, and my income follows me wherever I go. :) Mutual massage makes me mellow. Mmmmmm. Alarming alliteration always amusing. Aaaaah.
